I have a smoke alarm. But I usually have to take the battery out when it gets low because it constantly beeps. Then I usually forget to put a new battery in.

"They" say, the rule of thumb is, change the battery each New Year's day. (Unless you buy a "5" year battery)
I'm too tired and hungover on New Year's Day to be bothered with changing batteries or pretty much anything else.

Sometimes I just lay there with deviant sexual thoughts for 5 min or so, get up sometimes trip over the cat or pet it on the head depends where the critter is. press the coffee button go back to bed and try and get some before I get dressed. Take a shower, drink coffee for an hour or so and read the paper.
