RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Donovan - 06-12-2016 That isn't the first time he's done that this post season, I don't think. Seems like he's acquiring an MO. Edit: Steven Adams from the OKC, "accidental groin kick" about a month ago. They aren't punishing the act, they're punishing the habit. I still love the douche bag, but I hate that dirty shit he's pulling and don't understand why he's doing it. It's not like he's taking opponents out of games. I wonder if he has an anger management issue. He needs to get his ass kicked hard by Coach Kerr. I understand Kerr will have to ax another player from the game too, because it's too late to take Draymond off the 'active' list even though he can't play. Yeah, I think you're right about punishing the habit and the player. I would love to have cause to be pissed off at the league because this suspension and the timing of it really hurts the Warriors. But, I believe that Draymond deserves more than a slap on the wrist and he's getting it. He is developing an M.O.; I've taken to calling him "the nuts cracker'. Not cool. P.s. Balls - you're right; it was Adams not Biyombo that Draymond kicked so hard in the groin. I'm getting my post season groin fouls all mixed up. Wrong team, wrong conference. Geesh. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Midwest Spy - 06-12-2016 HotD, every time you mess up when reporting sports info (see: Byombo/Adams) you owe me a PM'd boob shot. Your boobs. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-12-2016 I don't think I mess up too often, but it does happen sometimes. Dementia, maybe. Anyway, I'll take your deal. It'll motivate me to check my memory before I 'post reply'. HotD told me you ARE her boob. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-13-2016 So, you boobs have a pick for game 5 in Oakland tonight? The betting odds are heavily in our favor, but I don't pay much attention to them. At the start of the Finals' series, I figured the Dubs would take games 1 and 2 (we lost game 1), the Cavs would take games 3 and 4 (they lost game 4), the Dubs would take game 5, the Cavs would take game 6, and the Dubs would take game 7 and win the series. I still think the Dubs will probably take game 5 at home tonight even without Draymond and a bench player, but I'm nowhere near as confident about that as the odds-makers. Will the Cavs be eliminated in 5 tonight? RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Midwest Spy - 06-13-2016 I say it ends tonight, even without Green. I'd lay the points too (5.5). RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-13-2016 Hey MS, I planted a post mistake for you, but you didn't call me out before tip off. So, no boob shot coming your way. Did you really miss it altogether or were you afraid I'd get you in trouble with an actual tit pic? RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Midwest Spy - 06-13-2016 (06-13-2016, 09:20 PM)HairOfTheDog Wrote: Hey MS, I planted a post mistake for you, but you didn't call me out before tip off. I skimmed that post and missed the 'lost Game 1' comment. As for the boob pic, my guess is you wouldn't really send an actual photo of your breasts, so I'm not sweating it. Edit: of course I'd welcome an actual pic but I don't expect it. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-13-2016 Yeah, well, see -- that's what happens when you only 'skim' my posts! This is a hell of a game, by far the best in the series. LeBron is playing like we expect LeBron to play, and Klay Thompson is frickin' awesome downtown. I think LeBron, Kyrie and the Cavs are really driven not to get eliminated 4 - 1. That's kind of humiliating for a team of their caliber -- they all put out on the court in the first half. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Midwest Spy - 06-13-2016 Dubs down 9'going to 4th. Doesn't appear any magic will be happening tonight for the Warriors. Looks like we'll be playing Sunday night in Cleveland. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-13-2016 Man, that was a great first half. But Kyrie and LeBron owned us in the second. Your original forecast is bust, MS. The Cavs did not go down in 5. Both Kyrie and LeBron scored over 40 points -- that's another 'first' for the league. Gunnar and I predicted a 7 game series. I hope we're wrong -- I'd rather see the Dubs win game 6 on Thursday in Cleveland. But, a 7 game series ending in Oakland would be exciting, for sure. Series is now 3 wins for the Warriors, 2 wins for the Cavs. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Donovan - 06-14-2016 At least I feel better knowing the so called experts can't call this series any better than I have, these guys are uneven as hell. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Midwest Spy - 06-14-2016 I hope it goes 7 now. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-14-2016 (06-14-2016, 11:29 AM)Midwest Spy Wrote: I hope it goes 7 now. If Kyrie Irving and LeBron James play like they did last night again on Thursday, I think you'll get your wish. Kyrie was plain awesome, LeBron too. Kevin Love looked better last night as well. But, like Donovan said, this series has been a roller-coaster. The Cavs have gotten their butts kicked by Steph, Klay, Draymond, Iggy, Livingston et all by more than 30 points, and then come back to kick the Warriors' butts by more than 30 points the next game. I hope Thursday night's game 6 is a tight one. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Midwest Spy - 06-14-2016 HotD, you like to torment me by saying things like 'it's a tight one'. Why do you do this? RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-14-2016 I like getting your dander up. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-16-2016 My heart is with the Warriors tonight. But, my head tells me the Cavs are gonna pull this one out (<--oops, I did it again, MS ). After the sadness of this week, I'm looking forward to finishing up a few reports, tuning out, and just enjoying a good game for a couple of hours. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - HairOfTheDog - 06-16-2016 Man, the Cavaliers dominated us tonight, on offense and defense. Series is now tied 3 to 3. Steph Curry lost his cool and was ejected from the game (in the 4th); the first time he's been ejected in his career. LeBron was the king tonight. He scored 41 points again, same as in game 5. He was amazing, as were the rest of Cavs. Game 7 goes down Sunday in Oakland. RE: NBA 2015/2016 - Midwest Spy - 06-16-2016 I've stated a couple of times during the Finals that LBJ is no Michael Jordan. I may have spoken too soon. Tonight's effort was as good as any I've seen, given the circumstances and what his team needed from him. Scoring, defending, facilitating, rebounding... you name it, Bron did it. Props to him and the Cavs, and I'll be pulling for them to win Game 7. |
