I guess it all depends on which political party is calling riots "peaceful" or "insurgency" This is the way of the media and the talking heads. in Portland they burned down a police station. threw Molotov cocktails. That was OK though. this Washington riot wasn't the same?

The protesting was against the police for killing unarmed black people.
Yesterday the right stormed the nations Capital-a place they profess to love. They love America so much they are going to destroy its Capital building?

I know what I saw during the protests. They were busting out windows of small businesses, burning shit down, carrying guns, throwing canned goods at the cops heads, people couldn't get to work without being threatened and harassed, a man was killed trying to protect his business...how is any of that peaceful or for a good cause? And how many protesters/ rioters did the police kill during that time, was it ever four in one day?

Violence is violence. The violent protests were allowed to go on day after day, the insurrection was stopped with four people being shot dead. You people are the ones that keep comparing it by saying that the response by enforcement would have been different if they were black people. It's the same thing. A riot is a riot no matter what reason or perception that is used. and many Democrats were saying that the riots were "peaceful protests" they didn't even call them riots. Changing a word does not change the wrongness of it.
