I was mad also, but now I am thinking that maybe it was a good thing I had to take her to a different vet. This one is way larger, more veternarians and able to handle more clients.
Bela now has a team of veternarians for her care. I can't even explain everything that is wrong with her, but they gave her a bunch of meds and stuff to make her more comfortable and able to eat. I know she isn't ready to die yet and I'm not ready to lose her.
I would wake up at night and look over at her to make sure she was still breathing. So stressful.
She has s swollen lympth node and small cell lymphoma.
As long as her quality of life isn't suffering I will do what I can to help her.
I didn't even know animals could get cancer. What a thing. : (
Veterinary medicine does some amazing things these days. Hopefully this isn't advanced to the point that it isn't treatable. If it has, do the best that you can and know that it makes a difference. She knows you love her, and that counts for a lot. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

This town I live in annoys me sometimes. I go to the grocery store and they are all out of the creamer I like. And the other store doesn't carry the same brand. I don't stock up on many items. It is annoying to go to the stores and not find the brands I like and I'm not a cost co shopper.

I don't know which thread to post about Bela, so I'll just do it in this one.
She is eating a little and drinking some water and seems to be doing mostly okay.
I ordered more pain meds for her, she actually seems to be doing okay in the last couple of days without any pain meds. But I want to make sure I have them on hand for her if she needs them.

Grow some wheatgrass and see if she'll chew it. It's a superfood, like liquid sunshine. Very, very healthy. And you can make wheatgrass juice for yourself.

I had to put Bela down today.
Or at least I made the decision that it would be better now then to wait for her to suffer more.
I was giving her pain meds daily and feeding her baby food with a spoon, or elevating her dish so she was more comfortable, but even then she usually just preffered to be sititng or laying while she ate.
She started sleeping in her litter box (I clean it out everytime she uses it)
And last night I slept on the floor next to her on top of a sleeping bag.
I couldn't imagine another night like that, but now that it is night time I am devestated.
I was fine all day, eating all of my comfort foods and binge watching netflix. I put almost all cat stuff away and did cleaning, everything except for the drawer she claimed.
I know I did the best thing
and I know I gave her a good life
this fucking sucks tho

I am sorry, I know it's awful. Sally is still getting up and begging for food so she isn't quite ready yet I don't think. I think they let you know when it's time.

Sleeping in the litter box is a good indication that she's run out of gas. You loved her and gave her a good home for her final days.
I don't think I'd manage very well without an animal friend. When the time's right, find a new friend, Mirah!
