No.

And I’m defining lately as so far today. Ha.

He already invited me to a family thing on Sunday-and I'm like.....AAAAAHHHHH too overwhelming!

My best friend said I should come see her instead. Ugh. Then that makes me want to go see him instead. WTF

That sounds great, Mirah.
Can’t wait to hear what you decide for Sunday.
I vote for him.

I've never heard you say anything like that before and I don't know how to react.   hah

RE: Tales from the Frontline: Online Dating - Duchess - 01-16-2023

Jeez Louise. Do I correct that or not. *face palm*

I saw a youtube short about a social media poster saying "my kitty grips hard". I think it's safe to say that evolution has come to a screeching halt.

RE: Tales from the Frontline: Online Dating - GirlBoss - 01-18-2023

TBH I’m in a bit of a predicament…

The ex-bf is now planning to stay in general area for 4-5 months and asked if I wanted to stay with him in house he’s going to rent. He is awesome, we have a great vibe BUT he’s a minor celebrity and will be a whirlwind of fun and attention and interesting things while he’s here - but I’m sure will get pulled away again for work. So I try to keep myself grounded and not get too caught up in thinking it will be long term committed when he has to go somewhere else - although at times he makes it seem like that he wants long term. I’m not sure I believe it. Or even know if I can deal with all that comes with him forever.

The slow-rolling coach is still in contact with me almost daily - totally different sort of vibe than celeb dude. However, coach is traveling for next few weeks for recruiting- which may be good for me to have a little time to figure out what to do.

What are your thoughts?
Throw caution to the wind and Move in with celeb?
Don’t move in and try to juggle both guys? Trying to figure out if I want long term with either?
Or?????

hah

2 options,  go with the ex bf, and give your kids up to relatives.
Or, choose your kids,  and make the ex bf pay for everything concerning them (ie, daycare and boarding)

RE: Tales from the Frontline: Online Dating - GirlBoss - 01-18-2023

Haha thanks.
My kids just went to college, so… I have a lot more freedom in choice.

If you're not sure about what you want then I guess you should flip a coin.

Nice!

Head or Tail.  Edging . . . if it lands on its side.

Never understood the plural "Heads or Tails" since there is only one of each.

Slow coach is gonna bore you. Hell he already bores me and I'm not trying to bang him.You don't say why ex bf is an ex boyfriend, but if it was just the celeb aspect  and crazy away schedule, I'd say go for it with the intent of just having a good time and not worry about longer term stuff. If it happens it happens, and if not, well, it will make for a decent summer fling. Then you can check back with slowcoach and see if he moved yet or is still trying to work up some nerve.

RE: Tales from the Frontline: Online Dating - Piglet - 01-19-2023

Judging your ex boyfriend by my values and personality, he will have a girlfriend in every port. Men including me mess around till about 30, then want to settle down, oh yes they do. I suddenly became broody, and saw it in other men, even to the point of hooking up with women they should not.

I presume he is well beyond thirty, or early thirties, so not wanting to settle is a red flag, though you say hes hinting at it. Hinting is not good enough, he should be discussing it openly, and if you do, scan for holding back.

From my own experience having more than one lover is a soulless experience, meaningless and empty. Its fun while your young though, and now a lot older i regret ever doing it. As for the coach, if he is a proper introvert it will take time to get to know him, if you ever do.

If he ranks high on companionship, warmth, humour, kindness, empathy, values, etc then id go for him, as well as judging your ex with that. The trouble with introverts is that its possible to take them for granted, and only know how much you cared or valued them when there gone, they become invisible.

The other troublesome fact is that we are all damaged, in psychiatry they call it a personality disorder, we all have a bit, or a lot of that. Where do they rank with booze, drugs, violence, either physical or emotional? Money management is important, who wants to be in debt, or without health insurance, keep your own accounts heakthy., and not shared.

As above, if you want a good time go for the ex, but expect to get hurt, though i may be wrong. Intuition should play a big part, having said that, use your head, not your heart.

Oh, i forgot, authenticity is important, lying manipulation is a huge red flag.
