Its kinda funny. I got the shirt one day when a trumper stopped at our shop and started talking politics. He was also handing out shirts, so I took one. I am still unsure where my vote will fall , but the more I hear people bitch about him, the more I like him.

RE: Presidential race 2016 - Duchess - 04-29-2016

I wish somebody would give me a Hillary sign for my yard. I really don't want to buy one.

RE: Presidential race 2016 - F.U. - 04-29-2016

Buy one? Aint that shit free?

RE: Presidential race 2016 - Duchess - 04-29-2016

Not free anywhere that I have seen. Her campaign sells signs, buttons, shirts, etc. on her site. Actually, now that I think about it I wonder if that stuff would be an investment given she'll be the first female POTUS.

RE: Presidential race 2016 - F.U. - 04-29-2016

Had a friend running for Sherriff here, as well as have a friend running for representative right now. They give them out around here.

RE: Presidential race 2016 - Maggot - 04-29-2016

She learned how to do that by selling votes in the Senate.

Well, far be it from me to keep you on the edge of your seat.

I'll never object to Americans exercising our rights to freedom of speech, protest and assembly -- whether I agree or disagree with the message. But, I'm keenly aware that people exercising those Constitutional freedoms rubs you way wrong when you don't agree with their message. This I know because you never hesitate to voice your opposition to people voicing opposition, and then beckon me, again, to respond with my opposing view, Irony Man.

Anyway, as for last night's Trump rally in Costa Mesa, I'm glad no one got hurt. Orange County is a very large conservative area of California, but it's also home to a lot of immigrants. I'm sure tensions were high. But, the rally was held as planned, protesters had their say, a few rocks were thrown and a police car was damaged, police then declared it 'unlawful assembly', 20 arrests were made, no injuries reported, and the streets were cleared by 11 p.m.

I'd be surprised if many or any of last night's Costa Mesa protesters were paid. There are plenty of people, including minorities, who sincerely and passionately disagree with Donald Trump's rhetoric and views.

Anyway, nobody was hurt by protesters last night. A bunch of residents who've been stereotyped as rapists, murderers and such by Trump and his supporters went to voice their strong opposition. Trump supporters responded passionately back. The people who got out of hand were arrested. On to the next rally...

RE: Presidential race 2016 - Donovan - 04-29-2016

1. It's California. Rioting is a state pastime for them. Like golf, only with more broken glass and fire.

2. Of the candidates, ONLY Trump incites this sort of behavior. This doesn't happen at Cruz, or Kasich, or Bernie, or even Hillary where they've had thirty more years to hate. That means either it's staged for dramatic effect or this is the most divisive and horrible choice we could make for President. It SHOULD frighten those who aren't stupid.

3. Supporting obviously incompetent candidates for a laugh is not funny, not original, and generally makes the joker look and sound retarded.

Sure about that Ms know it all?

RE: Presidential race 2016 - HairOfTheDog - 04-29-2016

Thanks for that link, Gunnar.

I stand corrected. 'No major injuries were incurred last night', would have been more accurate, I see. I don't know what happened with that Trump supporter who got hurt, but I wasn't aware of it before the KTLA story.

Anyway, the Costa Mesa Police Department reported no use of force, no major injuries, and a mostly peaceful protest with crowds dispersed by 11 p.m. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/04/29/skirmishes-break-out-at-southern-california-trump-rally.html

The people who damaged the police car and got physical were idiots, but they don't cause me to resent the people who protested peacefully (from either side).

"At least one injury." Seems to indicate there may be more injuries that went unreported. I saw the Trump supporter on the news this morning before he got wrapped up by EMS. Typical head wound. Bleeding like a stuck pig. Protests these days rarely end peacefully and i'm with maggs... Some of them were paid to protest. It's big business now if you can make the news. They made the news, somebody is getting paid.

RE: Presidential race 2016 - HairOfTheDog - 04-29-2016

I'm gonna go on what was actually reported and the Costa Mesa Police's assessment, rather than what seems to possibly be the case.

If more details of injuries are released, I'll think the aggressors were idiots, no matter which side they were on.

Who do you think paid the protesters? Trump's camp?

His concerned opposition is more likely, but it could have been Trumps crew. I try not to rule anything out during this election. Ignorance of the facts have never stopped you from speculating before. Why the sudden change HoTD? hah

RE: Presidential race 2016 - HairOfTheDog - 04-29-2016

There's no change, sudden or otherwise, Gunnar.

I like being informed. And, I typically speculate based on the facts available to me at the time, and label my opinions accordingly. I don't know everything and have no problem admitting that and standing corrected.

Obviously, that's completely counter to your style of insisting your opinions are facts even when presented with indisputable evidence to the contrary. You gotta be you and project though, I get it.

RE: Presidential race 2016 - Maggot - 04-29-2016

That's OK people need to see the real side of these protesters anyways. It makes Trump sound right.

RE: Presidential race 2016 - Duchess - 04-29-2016

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if someone took a shot at that cocksucka.
