He was drunkenly waving around an AR-15, punched and kicked his girlfriend and was then arrested for domestic violence. Sarah Palin says her son has PTSD and blames Obama for not providing adequate care for him.

I rolled my eyes so hard I fell over.

I was going to post in the Guns Don't Kill People thread and poke all the "Obama doesn't want to take your guns" Kool-Aid drinkers but . . .

Instead I wanted to gloat about our 70 degree weather and the fact I got to take my Mum on a private tour of the David Wright House with two architect friends.

So glad we were all part of the preservation of this treasure!

Now . . . off to the Phoenix Rescue Mission for their donor appreciation event.

Hope all is well with the anti-gun crowd.

Almost forgot . . .

Love the endorsements by Sarah and Ann for my boy, Trump!

I knew about Sarah but not Ann. Would that be that twat Ann Coulter?

God Tiki, I hope that's sarcasm when you refer to that clown as your boy.

Jodi Arias is the mother of all twats.

I think that was sincere, but I'm not sure. I like Trump better than some of the others, but I don't know if I'd refer to him as my boy hah. I think at this point I'd say Bernie is my boy.

Well that was a interesting night. I put together a permit to carry refresher course for a friend to make a few bucks [50 bucks a head], held it at my bar, and then he asks me to be a guest speaker. WOW, what a crazy night this was. Bunch of drinkers sitting at the bar taking tests for their permits to carry dangerous weapons. LIFE IS GOOD.

RE: RE: the 2016 trivial drivel thread - F.U. - 01-22-2016

Well time to get back to the bar and do the books. Thank gud its a short day for me. See yall in a couple hours. Play nice now kiddos.

There is something trapped in the ceiling up at the barn. Oh gods. I'm the only one here. I was making some noise in the laundry room up there and I began to hear noises like a puppy makes and when I talked at it, it began to claw at the ceiling and cry louder :(

Maybe Animal Control would come out assuming it is an animal and not some sex slave you kidnapped for your pleasure and forgot about....

RE: RE: the 2016 trivial drivel thread - blueberryhill - 01-26-2016

I was logged into Mock. Went out to do a short errand and my car is dead again...I know, I need to get new battery, but it is not at the top of my list. I have no rental income since house on market. Yes, I sold it back in November before it was ever listed, but lady had allergy to cats and my tenant had cats...I was in process of replacing all the flooring (got wood floors, handscraped teak) and they are beautiful....but she swore she could smell cats. I don't care for cats personally; I am a dog person, but again, I digress.....anyway, deal fell through so house was just listed day before Christmas. I never realized how long the flooring renovation would take, and then I discover, that there wasn't enough carpet for Master Bedroom, so the installer said it was Home Depot's fault and they said it was installer's fault. I got a mediator involved and I had to pay another $600, but they are redoing bedroom....yes, i had my own installer, but that was because HD told me they couldn't do it for a month and at time I purchased it, the price included free installation so that is only reason they are not charging for installation. They also wanted me to pay another $200.00 for padding as they said they couldn't do it with the old padding. I said bullshit, and that is when I called Corporate office and got a mediator....I had purchased new padding, but the wood installer said my padding was in perfect condition so he returned it to HD....It takes a lot of energy to fight with some of these places.....
Since house is in Colorado and I am in Phoenix, this has been a nightmare, there is a new problem every day......

Have you considered working with a realtor who could oversee this project? It may be worth a shot if you give the person the listing.

Oh, I have had Realtor since 1 Nov, but they don't typically want to get involved in these type of things....i have been on my own pretty much as far as the flooring project. Don't want to say to much on here, but i take care of most of the "problems," like getting old carpet hauled off,etc.......I take care of most of this stuff...I did also when i rented it out. My tenant didn't want me to ever raise rent even when my HOA dues would go up so I got rid of Mgt Co and passed my savings on to her so she didn't have to pay more rent....but this is no fun either......My dues have now gone up to $225 per month, and taxes just jumped from $1791 to $2046 on that house. Every month it is unsold means I have over $1,000 worth of expense in addition to the Phoenix house so not kidding when I say I can't afford a battery for my dead car right now....hahhah I also have been trying to get a window replaced since September...I have limited warranty and it doesn't transfer to new owner....they are double pane windows and moisture gets in middle "layer" and causes condensation, discoloration, etc....Every window has been replaced except the fixed window above french doors. Finally got that ordered today. Windows on house here in Az have lifetime warranty and I have had one window and one half of patio door replaced, thus far....

It has been my experience that the Realtors in a small mountain town are a little different than in the city. For ex, they work 9 to 5, closed on weekends, etc....when I was a Realtor back in the day, we worked nights, weekends, etc. Of course that was in Kansas City.....

I chose this Realtor because she is Broker and they are most likely to negotiate commissions. I talked to two other Realtors who wouldn't even discuss it with me so I hired this one. She is a very nice lady, but I just think Realtors are overpaid forwhat they do these days. The internet can screen many of the homes and you don't have to walk through a million homes these days.....Also, zillow.com, homes.com, truila.com, realtor.com, redfin.com, zip.com, etc are there for more exposure. You more or less sit at your desk and monitor the calls/requests for showing, get feedback for the seller, pass it on, and forward all offers to seller. I turned one down couple of weeks ago...I didn't even counter....because I think I will get another full price offer..due to shortage of homes there.

The Title Company can take care of all those pesky details re escrow, closing costs, writing final documents, etc......so if I had been able to breathe there, I probably would have tried to sell it myself, but admittedly, this isn't best time of year for that area. It was 2 degrees and snowing on first day of listed and day before Christmas so I didn't even hear from Realtor for two weeks over the holidays.

That's beautiful! I've seen one around here a few times, no more than that and I saw a black one too which was even more unusual.

RE: RE: the 2016 trivial drivel thread - F.U. - 01-29-2016

I've seen 1 albino in my life as well, but never a black deer.

RE: RE: the 2016 trivial drivel thread - blueberryhill - 01-29-2016

So, I am sitting here feeling sorry for myself.....Another offer on house fell through cuz buyers decided to build a two story home. My house is one story and apparently there are no old farts who need a one story house right now...I know it has only been on market for month, but I cannot support two homes for very long....Can't go out because of some manufacturing defect in oxygen tanks, my son finds 2 boys in my grandaughter's room at 5:30 a.m. in morning. they came through window so he is chasing them down the lawn to their truck and yelling at them about an imaginary gun (he says he is getting gun now)...they were just talking, but.... it just goes on and on, so I am thinking, I think this would be a good time to check out.
So there I am in the car with my dog, and you know the drill.....forgot I had a dead battery so couldn't even do that....death by carbon monoxide so here is a little hint. If you want to kill yourself this way, make sure your car doesn't have a dead battery.....

BBH, Tell me that the last part was a joke. I know what it does to family and friends when someone does that. It is devastating. The troubles you are having will pass. Times will get better. But checking out is irreversible. Even if it was a bad joke, tell us that you were joking.

Oh, I shouldn't make jokes like that.....but I will say....that i am not afraid to die and feel that when you no longer have a quality of life, that you should have right to make that decision.... As you might guess, I fully support a person's right to die and know of two States, Washington and Oregon where it is legal....Since I don't ever want to go to a Nursing home, i have discussed this with my family. You do have to establish residency for 6 months, I believe..It is just a part of life, but in this case, I was making a joke....
If I wanted to off myself, I have pills.....I certainly wouldn't do it via my car......but thanks for caring enough to ask....
