What are the first three things you do when you get up in the morning? Hmmm?

Pee, shower, get dressed for work.

Unless its the weekend. Then its usually watch TV/play on the computer, eat lunch, more TV/computer.

s

Pee, 10 minutes later poop, wash hands 3 times, then wait on breakfast! Starting with 3 to 4 cups of coffee.

So Ms D, using your words: What are the first three things you do when you get up in the morning? Hmmm? Smiley_emoticons_wink

Push the button to start the coffee maker, push the button to start my computer, feed the cats who are now waiting at the backdoor because they've seen my office light come on.

RE: MORE NOSY QUESTIONS - sally - 08-23-2017

What I really do is push the coffee button, pee while it's brewing and then go outside and smoke a cigarette. Repeat two times and then I'm ready to start my crappy day.

RE: MORE NOSY QUESTIONS - Duchess - 08-24-2017

I knew you didn't make that crap for breakfast and I knew you didn't park your ass in front of the TV when there is work to be done.

RE: MORE NOSY QUESTIONS - sally - 08-24-2017

I make my daughter something for breakfast, but I'm usually not hungry in the morning. I don't get hungry until around 2 and then I feel like I'm starving.

Tell us about the home-schooling progress.

My sister home schools and I think you know how I feel about it.

Sometimes her days start at 8:30, other days later and some days they just don't have school at all.

Tell me you're more structured.

You asked me for the first 3 things I did and going to the bathroom wasn't one of them. There would be no need to flush.

Are her kids progressing the way they should be?

Surprisingly yes.

Her oldest is heading in to 6th this year, and they actually sent him to a private school last year, but he's right on track. Believe me, when I see him, I do some subtle quizzing to see how he is.

He's a good kid, and sharp.

Her next 3 will be more challenging if she wants to continue this idea of teaching them on her own.

It's a little more structured because she does virtual class for two hours in the morning where she can talk to and see the teacher and other kids in the classroom. That starts at 9 so we have to be up and ready. Then she has so much paperwork she has to submit every week and it's all according to the Florida core standards like any other school. Then she has three other online programs she does for math and language arts and science. Plus she's starting art class next week and then Spanish next semester.

She gets more one on one time with me than she would with a teacher in a classroom setting so I think she's probably more advanced right now. I don't plan on doing this forever though. I don't think I'm smart enough to teach anything past 2nd grade.

RE: MORE NOSY QUESTIONS - Midwest Spy - 08-24-2017

Thanks for the update.

I'd agree that homeschooling at younger ages is probably as effective as a school setting with 23-25 kids and a single teacher.

To me, K and 1st grade are really about learning social skills. Dealing with separation anxiety, etc.

I'm sure she'll do great.

RE: MORE NOSY QUESTIONS - sally - 08-24-2017

And as far as socializing she does ballet and swimming lessons where she's with other kids. She also wants to start judo.

RE: MORE NOSY QUESTIONS - SIXFOOTERsez - 08-24-2017

Martial Arts is great for kids. It teaches them a lot about responsibility, discipline, really god for their self confidence

Actually when she went to K for those few months the only social skills she learned was how to act like a little douche. She went from being a happy, polite, mild mannered little girl to coming home miserable, asking stuff like what's a nigger, and screaming at everyone "don't talk to me'.

Then she had this thing where they taught her to say "excuse me" before she talked so she got in a habit of doing it at home too, not just at the times when it was appropriate. "Excuse me mom, may I ask what's for dinner tonight". Goddamn that was annoying. They were turning her into a fucking retard.

I knew a guy at work, that would not use his john at home!
He said he wanted to save water, but more importantly he wanted to crap on company time!
He came into work , and the first thing he did was hit the john for 20 minutes, every day!
He did that for close to six months.
Needless to say, he was lucky he lasted six months. hah

RE: MORE NOSY QUESTIONS - Carsman - 08-27-2017

With all the crap going on in the world today, if you found out "tomorrow was the end" of it all, what would be the last one thing you would want/have to do?

Have sex.

And honestly, I'd prefer a woman. Butt if its the end, I guess a guy would suffice.
