My fridge and cabinets used to be organized,   and then I told the kids that they could cook their own food...  worst decision ever....

My sister worked for some sort of warehouse and she used to bring home any damaged goods, we had so many. But for some reason my other sister and I thought it would be funny if we switched the labels on everything! Worse thing in the world to do. I think it backfired worse on us than anyone else.

It was just a pre-winter organization so I can discipline myself to actually use and eat what is in my cupbards and not buy 10 of something I already had.
Went just fine.

Anything else you want to know?

Yeah, when was the last time you checked the tires to make sure they weren't going flat. Especially the passenger side rear.

RE: Kitchen Organization - BigMark - 12-29-2020

Carpet or tile?

RE: Kitchen Organization - Duchess - 12-29-2020

I checked my tires. I had to get one plugged because I picked up a screw at the job site.

Passenger side rear?

I had my oil changed a couple of weeks ago. They do a complete exam of belts and hoses and rubber.

I used to have an organized island in my kitchen,  then one day,  I decided that it was a good place to change my 4 month old granddaughters clothing.   That kid is worse than an octopus.   She grabbed shit that I didn't even know that I had.   I'm so traumatized!

Its that time of year again.
This time I am thinking about stocking up on canned goods.
I usually buy just what I need for the week, it is rare that i have much more than that.

What do you stock up on?
Do you have 10 cans of corn? Chili? Green beans?
Do you do your own canning?

Just getting ready for winter. It's a process.

RE: Kitchen Organization - BigMark - 09-29-2021

I'm someone who overbuys and that works for me. I like to have more than I need. Having said that, I went too far overboard with mixes, cakes mixes, muffin mixes, things of that nature, and chances are, some of that will get trashed because it has expired. I'm a sale shopper and if a mix is 21 or BOGO, I stock up waaay too much.

I don't have 10 cans of corn or beans, but I do tend to buy the little cases of four when it comes to canned veggies.

I don't can now, but I have in the past and it was only tomatoes when I used to have a garden. I loved it! I only tried it to to see if I could and I was successful. I was so proud of myself.  hah

RE: Kitchen Organization - MirahM - 10-15-2021

I organized 2 cupboards today. The one that has my spices, baking stuff, snacks and so much peanut butter and honey.

RE: Kitchen Organization - BigMark - 10-15-2021

On my to do list, the cupboards too.
