Would you turn in your child? - ramseycat - 10-24-2012

Or a family member is you suspected them or knew they committed a crime? Would it depend on the crime?

I think I would. As devastated as I would be to suspect or know my child hurt or killed someone, it wouldn't compare to the devastation the family of the victim goes through. I wouldn't want anyone else to be hurt.

Yes, I would.

I think if it was something as serious as murder or sexual assault I'd be forced to, mainly because I'd think my child/family member needed treatment/help. I know it's easy to say now that I'm not in that situation. If it really happened? I'm not sure what I'd do. I also know that I always know what my son is up to, granted he's only four. I intend for that to continue. He'll be "free" when he turns 18....maybe.

People I love - No.
Anyone else - depends on the crime, the person, and the circumstances.

It would depend on the crime, circumstances and how much reward money I might get.

In a heartbeat!

I have a particular family member that I do not associate with whatsoever. She is as dodgy and crooked as they come. She is a scammer. If I ever found out anything, I would report it to the police directly without even thinking about it.
