I do think it's possible that whatever happened may have been due to the combination of a sick, cranky baby together with a fed up mother who'd been drinking and snapped. I wonder how much wine was purchased and if there was any left?
I've also noticed that the signs and t-shirts clearly refer to Lisa as 'kidnapped'. That seems a little unusual to me ... isn't the term 'missing' used in most cases? Maybe I'm the only one that thinks that's a little odd, but it struck me as a little over-insistent.
I think it's possible the mother may have snapped. Dealing with an infant requires a lot of patience, and as you said, maybe the wine was a contributing factor.
Regarding the term kidnapping, I think it's appropriate in this situation. If you're the parents and you didn't do anything to your child, how else did a child of this age disappear from her crib? On the other hand, if a toddler was outside and disappeared, I'd use the term missing unless someone saw her being taken.
