You're going to get me interested in the later Egyptians yet, LC.
They are fascinating people with an interesting history but how they came to be is an enigma I want to see solved.
A lot of things about ancient Egypt didn't change and that includes the tendency for children to have shaved heads except a long braid or two. Like many things in their "beliefs" serpents could be deadly or very good aspects. Only Wadjet, Rennenutet, and Nehebkau were "always" good. Set had some serpent like qualities and was both very powerful in the maintenance of order as well as its primary danger.
