What is WRONG with people?

I think we've lost a lot of the general civility and manners shown by previous generations. I don't think there's as much general respect out there.

Growing up, had I shown disrespect towards my elders I would have been in some deep shit. Often when I'm out & about and see young people treating their parents and/or other adults with extreme disregard I know that if I or my brothers had done anything like that we wouldn't have seen the light of day for a good long time. We knew there were consequences for our actions.
