The 2013 Trivial, Boring Drivel Thread....
What is her current state Sally? Is she able to walk around on her own? Is she able to perform hygiene independently? How is she feeling? A big part of it is knowing that you are close by and are watching out for her.

A hospice can be good because it gives family some respite from the burden of caring for a frail person that they may be out of their depth in caring for. These places are professional and geared to caring for people going through what your mother is going through. As long as you keep a close eye on her and she feels comfortable then she should be fine. Once you know your mother is well taken care of and is in better hands there at the hospice it will give you peace of mind. Then you can concentrate on giving her all your love and support emotionally. Which is what she needs too.
