There is another paint out there like chalk paint called magnetic paint that once painted on magnets stick to it. Both came out over 10 yrs ago and both were made to be used with kids rooms.

I don't know about magnetic paint, but chalk paint came out 30 years ago.  It wasn't created specifically for kids' rooms though.   It was created for faster and easier renovations and versatility of finishes.

I remember it well and used it on the kids room twice.
