Was it very scary? I know you said you panicked.

I am petrified to die.

I used to worry about it too, but then one day I realized you won't know anything when you do check out, you won't feel a thing.  You won't know anything, you just no longer exist. 
It's like when you're in a dead sleep without dreaming, you're just gone in oblivion.
