this happens often in murder cases, out of respect for the feelings of the victims' families.
remember the Gainesville Ripper (danny rolling) case? the crime scene photos were kept at the state attny. office (still are) and people had to sign in to view them.
sometimes they leak out eventually and certain sites will have them.
i'm laughing, you meant "public" but you obviously shop at my old store, Publix. hahahaha
edit to add: a lot of people want to see them.
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Paramedics and firefighters were called to the Orange County Courthouse early Friday morning after a ruckus broke out amongst members of the public trying to get a ticket to see the Casey Anthony trial.
More than 100 people rushed to line up at the courthouse at 5:30 a.m., the earliest time officials allow lines outside of the building for the trial.
WESH 2 News cameras were present when some hopeful spectators accused others of cutting in the line.
Security was called to assist with the situation.
Oh my God! :B You are correct! I had Publix on my mind while trying to post!
I do remember the Danny Rollings case, lived in 'Gator Nation' while all that horrendousness was going on! Very scary time for all!
It does make sense to want to protect the family as I couldn't imagine them wanting to see what their daughter did to their granddaughter! Thanks for the reply!
