Actually, I'd be pissed if someone put a skateboard park in their backyard right next door to me too.

Good thing that's not happening with my neighbors. They're older than dirt and their kids have moved out.

It's not a park; unless I decide to add on to it. They moved in when my kids were 8 or 9 or so. The neighbors on the other side of them have a pool and 2 kids and I can hear them from my house when they're outside swimming with their friends over.

Fuckers should have moved to an all adult community if they wanted peace and quiet. Or, like Duchess, found a property with enough land around them that it wouldn't be an issue.

I have friends that have a pool, trampoline and basketball court in their backyard. I'm willing (maybe) to put the extra plywood on the sides that might muffle the noise some but probably not until I let them twist in the wind a while and complain to every neighbor, the city, state and local authorities. Maybe they'll actually come talk to me when they're about ready to explode (although at this point, they've already demonstrated that they're pretty fucking irate...if they come over name calling and start reading me the riot act, I'm probably just going to tell them to fuck off and close the door in their face). If they come over ready to have a reasonable conversation, I'll listen...and suggest that they probably should have spoken with us first before approaching the other neighbors. Assholes.
