On a per gun basis, the number of deaths is statistically insignificant. With about 11,000 firearm homicides per year in the US over about 350 million firearms, do you know what that equates to? 0.003142%. Three thousandths of one percent.
Not even a statistical blip.
Now if you were able to distill the amount of firearm homicides committed with legal firearms, that percentage would likely drop into the millionths of a percent.
So are guns really the problem? Of course not. The simple fact is that the overwhelming majority of legally owned firearms are never used to indiscriminately kill anyone.
And oh by the way, Brazil has over 30,000 firearm homicides per year. That's over 20K+ more than the USA. They also have more total homicides (44K vs. 16K). Brazil even achieves these staggering numbers with a smaller total population (197M vs 314M).
It would seem that there are more guns and more blood flowing where you live by a wide margin comparably. To that end, we are going to send Piers Morgan directly to you to deal with it.

Your point made using ultimately meaningless statistics was basically saying that people kill people and guns do not. Informing me at the same time that there are staggering 11,000 firearm homicides per year in the US.
I suppose that means that guns are a good idea. What a load of nonsense.
It only takes 1 machine gun under a minute to destroy the lives of innocent people forever. I don't really care how you present risk to me in statistical form, I am sure Freddy Mac would have been equally confident in 2007.
There is absolutely no justification in people having machine guns at home, to suggest there is is laughable.
Also, as much as I respect your constitution - hiding behind the second amendment pretending you are upholding something worthwhile is sickening, that is not what it intended and flies in the face of decency.
Brazil is a totally different subejct altogether and I will happily discuss it with you.
