I got to see it earlier today, it took awhile 'cuz of the connection, stopping & starting...I DID appreciate it !...I have a very big soft spot for animals. 75

I can't enjoy anything, it seems, without my mind going off an a tangent... the kitten in this reminded me of the kitten in Milo and Otis, and even though that movie was adorable, you just KNOW the people that made the movie went through a lot of animals... the scene with the kitten and the seagulls (?) looked like they were pecking the poor little cat to death. There were quite a few scenes that looked questionable.

I go off thinking like that too. But rest assured that every single movie set MUST have a representative of the ASPCA on site to supervise the animals used in the films. ALL films in the USA require this.

And now with the invention of CGI you can't tell the shots with real or CGI animals if they are cleverly shot.

Yeah, but I think Milo and Otis was a Japanese film so the same standards might not apply.
