Dumb asses is right!

It's going to take tragedy like a few of them on air to get killed out there during the blustery weather!

After the big blow if he still has cell service, I'll be able to contact him. Then will update.

...aaaand now people are calling for help. With every awful storm there are always those who do that. They were warned for days, there was sufficient time given for them to seek shelter and now there will be those who risk their lives trying to save those people.

There's a huge widescreen in this hotel room, which makes it worse to watch than on my little tv at home.  I appreciate the information and public service, but wish the networks would just use unmanned cameras in storm areas.

That's really good news Cars.

I just heard that there have been 20 hurricane fatalities so far.

It's terrible, but Florence could have been a lot worse. Hoping the death toll doesn't climb much.

In six months it may climb to 8000.   statistically

I saw a video of a reporter barely able to stand and acting like the wind was really crazy as 2 people walked through ankle deep water behind him having no problem at all.

Smiley_emoticons_smile That reporter is a total doofus.

I saw that the Weather Channel issued a statement trying to deflect from his theatrics after he got mocked like mad on social media.

It said that he was walking on wet grass while the guys just strolling along behind him were on concrete. The statement also said the reporter had been on his feet covering the hurricane since the wee hours.

Still a doofus.

Palu, Indonesia -- Tsunami

[Image: ?m=02&d=20180929&t=2&i=1309452294&r=LYNX...0D3&w=1280]

At least 384 people have died so far in an Indonesian tsunami.  Rest in peace.

The government reportedly withdrew a warning/advisory about a half an hour after a 7.5 magnitude equarthquake hit and before a massive wave obliterated two towns.

The government said residents and beach partygoers ignored previous warnings.
