THE LITTLE THINGS -- TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD...
#1
I've been kinda off lately -- not depressed or blue -- just have a couple of things going on that are weighing on my mind and my heart a little.

It's nice hearing about or seeing things that make people smile anytime, but more so at this type of time.

So, spill - if you will.

I'll start. Fresh flowers. I love them.

I loaned my friend my truck yesterday and he picked up my niece from school and brought me some earlier today. They make me smile.

We picked up a wilting orchid on the last day of my mom's visit a few weeks back. It had two flowers on it at the time. One ice cube every other day and some filtered sunlight -- now the flowers and buds are starting to get a little heavy for the stems. Orchids are one of my favorites.

P.s. MS, no need to post pics of large bare breasts here -- but you can tell me about 'em and I'll probably smile (then deny it and wait for aussie to come give you a proper tongue-lashing). Smiley_emoticons_wink

Popovers. Watching them go from 2 Tbsp. of batter to a big fluffy cloud makes me happy.

I'm glad the stupid "lady slippers" bloomed on the shady side of my house. The frogs like them and that's good enough for me.

Yes, that and 100 mini toads hopping around.

These are frogs but you get the idea...........There're everywhere!
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Those are so cool, Maggot - I love frogs and toads. They're almost as cute (maybe even a little cuter) than ramsey's spoiled dog, Marijuana.

Sally: I haven't had bread in a couple of weeks -- that popover looks so good. Bet that baked potato this morning was almost as good as a pop-over on a normal day.

Yep, that old potato tasted pretty good this morning. Today was easier than yesterday. I'm not a huge eater anyway, just want to lose a few lbs. which is the story of my life. I've never been overweight, but if I live too good for too long that pudge goes right back to my stomach and ass.

I've given up on him, he is a lost cause. Too far gone.

I got to meet my grand niece for the first time today. It is clinically impossible to hold a cuddly baby and remain in a bad mood.

I agree, Donovan. Today made me more than happy - holding my only grandchild and realizing for the first time that nothing is wrong with him - that he's a normal, happy baby. Just posted about him in another thread so I'm not going to go into detail about why I thought something was really wrong. I know that's not what HotD meant when she said "The Little Things" because this was a BIG thing.
