PUNISHMENT
#1

How do you punish your kids? Do you ground them, take away their phones/computers, things of that nature? Can you recall the biggest punishment you've ever given?

I've used different punishments at different ages.
My youngest, who's now 14 tends to earn more punishment than his older brother ever did. The latest used on the 14 Year old is to take away all electronic devices.

The 17 YO hasn't had to be punished in many years, but the last time he was punished I used money. He was like 11 or 12 and started swearing like a trucker, the only thing that got him to stop was taking away part of his allowance every time he swore.

All of the above were used. However, our family counselor said I did use one method that she had never heard of and it actually worked.
That method was to make them play a video game. What ?!???! you say, they were disciplined by being forced to play games. Odd as it sounds they hated it. At first they sat there with a smile on there face and welcomed the punishment, but soon they tired of the game and wanted to put it down but could not. What I did was buy the hardest game there was at the time [Driver] and their grounding lasted as long as it took to beat the entire game. They could do nothing else, just play the game, when not at school or doing homework etc. It didn't take long for them to get tired of that game and after taking days to beat it they never played it again. In fact that even slowed their video game playing down in general.
Sounds silly , but it did work. Plus I got a gold star on the chalk board from our counselor for thinking outside the box. hahaha.

Never had to get serious with my kids,,had to ground them a few times, this was before everyone had computers.
Somehow managed to get them to a point early that they did not want to be assholes.
The grandparents probably had more to do with that than me.

I lock them in the basement without food or water for three days.

Thankfully they don't mind because they're imaginary. They take after their mother that way.

But I got this plan. Once she turns like 17 or 18 and ends up as a drug addicted hooker standing under the street light and working the corner next to our mansion, I shall go and punch her right on the nose for all the things she did as a kid!

At least I won't feel too bad then.

It's crazy cool the way Jade & Sally's little girl look so much alike.

I just took their shit away when they were young, my husband didn't want much to do with disciplining then. But once they got to be about 12 or so he turned into a scary fucker. That nobody wants to fuck with. Except me of course.

The other day when I got the call from the cop that my son was doing 100 mph down the highway, my husband had a little talk with him. At first he was nice about it and explained to him how it's not worth it to speed for the obvious reasons. Then my son called him a girl..... oh shit, big mistake! He told him he's going to slam his ass on the ground and then see who's the girl motherfucker. My son ran out of the living room like a scared mouse.
