CUT & RUN: FUGITIVE FROM CIRCUMCISION

He'd certainly be more of an authority (the guy who cut at 30). Because for the rest of us who were cut as mere babes, we don't know what we don't know.

I can't imagine it feeling better, because its pretty awesome as is.

He was a nervous wreck prior to the procedure, which I imagine I would be too. Afterwards, said it was similar to a sunburn pain wise. Good to go after a couple of weeks. I told him he got lucky because there wasn't a lot of surface area to heal hah

Mother Files Federal Lawsuit Challenging Court-Ordered Circumcision

[Image: Screen-Shot-2015-03-11-at-4.53.19-PM.jpg]

Heather Hironimus has filed a federal lawsuit challenging the boy's court-ordered circumcision. She's still a fugitive and remains at a domestic abuse center with her son Chase.

In the federal lawsuit, Hironimus and her attorney, Thomas Hunker, call the procedure "elective" and "cosmetic," and said the boy currently lives in fear about having a circumcision performed.

"Under the circumstances of this case, circumcision is invasive, irreversible, painful and will cause [the child] physical and psychological harm," the suit reads.

The suit also claims Chase's faher Dennis Nebus, Judge Gillen and Sheriff Bradshaw were all material to the circumcision decision and are all at fault for the civil rights violations. It also claims the parties conspired to violate the child's rights.

Hironimus is catching some flack from those (including the boy's father) who believe she should not be showing Chase's image or using his real name.

I understand her protest and the goals of her supporters, but I don't think I'd be tossing my child's name and image out into the public realm.

Hironimus? 'Nuff said. She's a freak and she's torturing her son scaring the hell out of him before this is legally resolved. IF the dad wins the lawsuit, the mom should be responsible for all the psychiatric/psychological bills going forward.

She was jailed last week and just agreed to the circumcision in exchange for her release. It's not clear who was taking care of her son while she was behind bars; gag order.

Snip:
In a remarkable turnaround after a week behind bars for contempt and an initial hearing in which she was ordered to remain jailed, court reconvened and a sobbing Heather Hironimus signed paperwork giving approval for the surgery, recoiling in tears and clasping her shackled hands after it was done.

Upon arriving in court Friday, shackled and wearing a navy blue jail jumpsuit, Hironimus quietly invoked her Fifth Amendment rights when asked if she had signed the consent agreement. Gillen said she would be jailed indefinitely unless she did. Eventually, she did.

The shift, though under duress, threatened the hero status given to Hironimus by a bubbling movement of anti-circumcision advocates who have followed the case's every turn.

Judge Gillen told the parents: "You are both going to continue to be the parents to this young man. You're going to have to learn how to deal with that in an amicable, friendly, civil manner. You're going to have to always take into consideration what's in your child's best interest. To the extent that you may differ on things, you're going to have to talk them out. That's what parents do in a civilized society. You do not take the law into your own hands."

I'd say it's both their fault. She may have been the one that initially made him scared, but the father is still pushing for it knowing that the kid is now scared out of his mind and it's absolutely unnecessary. It's like they're cutting off their balls to snub their Johnson and the poor kid is paying the price.

It's similar to the story of little baby Moses. The father should have been the bigger person and said "alright now that you've scared the shit out of the kid I'll leave it be unless deemed absolutely necessary". It should have been done after birth, not 4 years later when the kid is terrified.

I definitely feel badly for the kid now. I hope someone has the sense to benzo him up before he even leaves to go to the hospital. And after...because of all this, he's probably going to feel like he's been butchered as opposed to having a procedure done that thousands and thousands of infants go through daily.

I'm not "pro-circumcision" but I don't see it as horrific as some...except under these circumstances.

God damn, I also hope someone has the sense to send anyone other than the mother to take him in. You just know she's going to be sobbing...ergo, ratcheting up the kid's nerves even further.

Poor kid.

She shouldn't have signed the agreement, I view that as a contract. When you sign it, follow through. Contracts are enforced everyday.

She's probably traumatized her son with all this bullshit.
