THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY
There is a difference between 'tax evasion', which is illegal, and 'tax avoidance', which entails exploiting the tax loopholes to avoid or minimize the standard taxes owed.  Tax avoidance is often an elitist sleazy endeavor, but not illegal.

I don't know how much of what the Trumps did falls into each category.

There are examples and documentation of what is labeled as 'outright fraud' in the piece.  In response to the report, New York state announced that its opening an investigation.

President Trump, his spokespeople, and his attorney claim the piece is false of course.

Note:  The NYT piece does not include the standard tax returns which Trump refused to release and make public, per protocol for Presidential candidates.

It should be easy to prove through the IRS and I doubt that it will happen soon enough before the Dems weaponize the media with as many stories they can publish and as many vague unsubstantiated estimates on any amount that was "stolen" from the American people. Of course there should be a couple "unnamed" sources that corroborate Trump boasting about the entire affair. Quite possibly some Russian payoff amounts that prove he was deep in Russian territory before he was elected.

Micheal's on it like a fly on a turd right now and may even be negotiating a formal evidence outing on ABC.

The report is based on official tax and court documents pertaining to Fred Trump and his children.

Those documents were verified and recorded long before Donald Trump became a politician.

The NYT analysis/report is based on tangible verified facts.

People can choose to be apathetic about it or draw their own creative conclusions to support their biases, but facts are facts.

Imagine Trump got rich, especially with his Fathers money. That could be taken many ways and a good Dem operative should be able to spin that for a few weeks at least. CNN could do a special on it suggesting many times and in many ways how often this may have happened throughout his life. Stealing money from the government and taking the food right out of the little bitty baby's mouths.
how could he have done this and how heartless and selfish is he to even attempt to cheat, lie and steal on his parents taxes.

Al Capone went down for tax evasion and so can Trump. This should be on the front page of the NY Times this week along with Pelosi and Cuomo standing side by side and in unison with every single American, everybody knows that Trump is a big Bastard. Just ask Clinton or Steven Colbert.

The correct way to handle this would be to go to the IRS and file a complaint but that would not be quick enough so he should be admonished and berated for the months leading up to the final decision. At least that way the Dems will taste blood and in that aspect it is what they really wanted from the beginning. White male republican blood taste sooooo good.

I haven't seen anyone dissin' the fact he had all that money. The comments I've seen have to do with him lying about it and presenting himself as a self-made billionaire. hah He's a lying cocksucka about pretty much everything under the sun.

That's OK ............give it some time Dems are great at coming up with unsubstantiated sources that are unaccounted for. After this Supreme court circus they may have a tough time getting anyone to take them seriously anyways. But you know they will make this tax thing grow into the greatest threat since the great Flood.  hah  I can see the left wing headlines now.

Before trump, honesty meant something to you. I never thought you were the kind of person who would defend lies and the liars who told them.

i have a hard time believing that ANY politician is honest they all lie. That has always been my thoughts. The problem I have is the Trump derangement syndrome that perpetrates the air. It's as if those that have it cannot see what Trump has done to pick this country up off its knees.I find it amazing that that is ignored. I have never said they do not lie. And I will not cherry pick statements. I wonder how people got so sensitive that they were hurt so tragically they actually break down and cry. even 10 yrs ago most people could stand up for themselves. Not anymore.  i have decided to use the liberals own talking points to describe them such as "weaponizing" pouncing, attacking, snatching any catch word that they use will be turned back at them it seems to be working.

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their love of Donald Trump, to the point they will abandon all logic and reason.

Symptoms for this condition can be very diverse, ranging from racist or xenophobic outbursts to a complete disconnection from reality. TDS can also often result in the sufferer exhibiting violent, homicidal, or even genocidal desires, particularly against residents from foreign countries.

Sufferers have also been known to wish direct self-harm on themselves (such as increased tariffs, a desire for tax cuts heavily favoring corporations and the 1%, infringement of first amendment rights, and even the destruction of NATO for comrade Putin), provided that action was initiated by Donald Trump.

Paranoia is also a common symptom of TDS. Sufferers have been known to believe that they are in some way being persecuted when their Trump related beliefs are questioned, and in some cases believe they are about to be a victim of an immigrant related crime. The paranoia does however not seem to be bad enough to make TDS sufferers attempt to actually becoming informed and think for themselves.

If properly treated, suffers of TDS can make a full recovery. Many suffers have been known to grow out of TDS, yet many can only be treated by having their condition  directly treated through the application of logical reasoning. It is also known that products containing mole can exacerbate the condition.

I can understand the derangement as I attack a system ie. Dem, lib, left and I have to admit attacking Senators and Reps that is flawed I am attacked personally because I defend the other system. I have nothing against Duchess, HOTD or anyone else that is on the other side, I tend to draw the line at personal attacks. Nothing political, religious could make me change. Yes I attack the system.

I do see a violent trend by the left on a personal level in all this, people attack others at home when out they even go after family. I do not see the right doing it. Why do people bring it to the next level.? Why do students violently oppose anything on their campus why are people getting accosted by the left? I would welcome any input on the right doing the same.

Maggot, I'm not "on the other side". I've told you that many times.

Still, you continue to insist you know where I stand better than I do, which negates your claim not to have anything against people who aren't fully devoted to all things said and done by President Trump and his supporters on the far right.

It's clear to me that people who evaluate and make judgments on a case-by-case and issue-by-issue basis are 'not on your side' in your mind because you're cemented at the far right of the scale. Any position to the left of that is considered 'the other side' to you. It's an 'us vs. them' mentality.

And, yes you have called people names based on their disagreements with your ideology/politics plenty of times.

As for the 'lack of violence on the right', you've made that same false assertion previously and I find it hard to believe you seriously have to ask again.

Did you so quickly forget about...........The white supremacist killing an innocent liberal woman in Charlottesville by intentionally running her over? And the man who killed several people at a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado in protest of legal abortion? And the Trump supporters harassing non-white people for being non-white in public settings across the country? Etc.

Nikki Haley is reportedly resigning from her position as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

[Image: 180619-nikki-haley-un-ew-112p_fb6cb58dc3...t-760w.jpg]

According to the reports, she'll be leaving the post at the end of the year and there will be an official public announcement shortly.

I liked Haley as governor of South Carolina.  She seemed measured and fair and good at representing everyone in her state.

I've disagreed with her positions several times over the last couple of years in her UN Ambassador role, but always respected her professionalism.

She seems to have a bright future in politics and I won't be surprised if she plans to run for President at some point.

Wow, Haley seems like she's giving Jared and Ivanka an endorsement. I hope neither of them is appointed to fill her role at the end of the year.

ETA: She said she's not going to run in 2020 and will instead be campaigning for Trump's re-election. She didn't give a specific reason for her resignation, only that it's important for public officials to know when it's time to step aside.
