Paul Manafort has now spent at least 50 hours cooperating with Mueller's investigators.

Manafort and Roger Stone go way back professionally and personally.

^ Manafort and Stone, back in the day

Stone and Pence recommended Manafort as Campaign Manager to Trump.

I still believe Roger's got a big target on his chest for his potential advance knowledge of the DNC/Podesta email theft and coordinating the distribution of the stolen material with Wikileaks and Guccifer 2.0.

Stone has told reporters that Manafort would never turn on him, though he contends he did nothing wrong anyway.  I think Stone's mistaken.  We'll see.

Anyway, I just read that style and image obsessed Manafort showed up for a sentencing hearing yesterday in his green jail suit, a wheelchair, and wearing only one shoe.

From what I understand, mobsters used to do shit like that in attempt to get lighter sentences and/or be deemed incapacitated back in the day.

Manafort's lawyer said that Manafort's incarceration has led to serious health issues and he wants to be sentenced as soon as possible, though he didn't specify an ailment or condition. Manafort is no spring chicken, so I guess it could be true (but doubt it).

The judge set Manafort's sentencing date for February 8, 2019.

There was no advanced knowledge though, so on that basis, isn't what you just said, just more partisan politically ideological lies?

See one of the big differences between how someone like you and someone like Duchess (and I disagree with both of you), is that Duchess says she thinks this or that about Right Wing personalities and wishes terrible things on them and believes them irredeemable (which is subjective), and you, that makes little ideological blinded narrative factoids. Then when called on your bullshit, you haughtily project your ideological bias and dishonesty on others.

You are a slimy little hypocrite.

From today's Washington Post:

In recent weeks, a grand jury in Washington has listened to more than a dozen hours of testimony and FBI technicians have pored over gigabytes of electronic messages as part of the special counsel’s quest to solve one burning mystery: Did longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone — or any other associate of the president — have advance knowledge of WikiLeaks’ plans to release hacked Democratic emails in 2016?

While outwardly quiet for the last month, Robert S. Mueller III’s investigators have been aggressively pursuing leads behind the scenes about whether Stone was in communication with the online group, whose disclosures of emails believed to have been hacked by Russian operatives disrupted the 2016 presidential campaign, according to people familiar with the special counsel probe.

Stone, who boasted during the race that he was in touch with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, has said since that his past comments were exaggerated or misunderstood. Both he and WikiLeaks have adamantly denied they were in contact.  Full piece:  https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/...d35a5dd3c5
------------------------------------
Roger -- the 'dirty trickster of politics' who's used set-ups, lies, and everything under the sun to knock out his Democratic and Republican clients' opponents -- is pissed and attempting to rip apart the Post's story.  Ref: https://thehill.com/homenews/media/41251...ver-report

He's changed his story so many times now. But, Mueller's reportedly gotten phone logs and Manafort's testimony in recent weeks to add to the grand jury's evidence.

If Stone crossed the legal line, I'll be glad to see him indicted.  This one isn't a matter of a wrongly smeared politician who doesn't want to bring negative news back on him/herself by going after Stone.  Now, he's up against the Fed.  And, even if he didn't cross the legal line but lied to Congress, he could still be in legal peril.

No worries Rootilda.  You didn't break the thread.

But, the comparison was a little cruel.  What have you got against Schlitizie anyway?  Smiley_emoticons_smile

This thread is probably gonna be a little slow until the midterms are over.  After that, I expect there will be a lot of activity to report on the Mueller investigation.

Nah, you didn't break it.

Sometimes I use this one when I think any of those yahoos are going to find themselves in shit. It's juvenile & dumb and I love it.

Roger Stone has amended his House Intelligence Committee testimony THREE times since news reports have emerged about his ties to WikiLeaks and that fucker Devin Nunes is blocking the release of the transcripts. He's such a little bastard. Is there any republican in DC who isn't a complete POS? Vote out all those worthless fucks.

No the "fake Trump" that is aligned with the far left that has shown himself to be a very violent member of the Democratic party. The "fake Trump" that punched a guy in the face for stealing his parking space in New York. Yes the "fake Trump" known as Alex Baldwin. A very violent lefty.

Baldwin's a rage monster no matter what political party he belongs to. Calling him a violent leftie is disingenuous since that implies he physically attacks members of the Republican party. Nope, he attacks everyone. His actions do not reflect upon all dems, you fruitcake.
