NFL 2018
I saw that the Vikings / Packers game went overtime and ended in a 29 / 29 tie MS.

The 49ers / Lions game was a close one too.

Fortunately, we managed to beat Detroit by 3 points.

I really hope we have a winning season this year.

The Vikes game, particularly the 4th quarter and OT, was really unbelievable.

The Packers led 20-7 entering the quarter, and had a chance to ice the game with a TD twice inside of 2 minutes to go, but each time had to settle for a FG.

Minny went the length of the field with 1:45 to play and scored a TD (on an incredible throw and catch) and then had to get the 2 point conversion as well (which we did). However, we left 31 seconds on the clock.

Aaron Rodgers then moved the Packers to our 34 yard line with 4 seconds left to set them up for the potential GW FG.

Just as Mason Crosby was getting set to kick the GW FG, our coach called timeout. Crosby still kicked it, and it was good, but didn’t count. He then tried it again, AND MISSED.

Onto overtime.

We got the ball first and stalled at the Pack 31 yard line. Out trots our rookie kicker and he misses his second FG if the game. I’m thinking it’s iver now, but the Pack screws up their drive and has to punt.

We get it back and Kirk Cousins leads us to the Pack 17 years line with 3 seconds left. A chip shot 35 yarder is up next and the Vikes win.

Wide right (for the 3rd time).

And that’s how you end up in a tie.

We shouldn’t have won, we should’ve won and then I guess the appropriate outcome followed.

Sounds like a nail biter!

I'm glad your team hung in there.

So, how does a tie affect the win/loss record for your team?

I found the answer to my question MS.

In the National Football League (NFL), a tied game occurs when a regular season game ends with both teams having an equal score. Ties have counted as a half-win and half-loss in league standings since 1972; before that, ties were not counted in the standings at all.

I tuned into our game shortly after DeJax hung 7 on us. How did Sproles get hurt and how bad is it? I saw a lot of 2nd and 3rd teamers out there the remainder of the game. Was it due to injuries or just saving starters for games that mean something?

Sproles injured his hamstring during practice last week. Jason Peters was in & out of the game yesterday. I feel like I didn't see much of Ertz for a good part of the game. Nelson got the wind knocked out of him and I thought it was way worse than that when it happened.

When DeSean caught that bomb and ran like the wind I felt like that set the tone. It was ugly all day with flashes of brilliance. It was hot as fuck too but I'm in no way blaming the weather for a bad game. The Eagles have made it official, Carson returns for next week.

That's what I said too. I'm glad and I'm relieved, now I can start worrying about Carson getting badly hurt again and spending game days hollering GET OFF MY MAN!

The Cleveland Browns are on National TV tonight, which is fairly significant considering the Won-Loss-Tie record in their previous 37 games stands at 1-35-1.

You read that right:

They’ve got 1 victory in their last 37 games, a 20-17 victory over the San Diego Chargers on Dec 24, 2016.

I bring this up because I’m predicting they beat the NY Jets tonight at home, and not just win, but win convincingly.

Cleve 26, NY Jets 10

Week #3!

Nervous. Carson is back today and my heart is already thumping a little.

MS, do you feel like you have an easy win today? I never feel that way. I don't discount anyone. Any given Sunday and all that.

Football has taught me that two minutes can be a long time.

Well he IS a rocket scientist. Thats what happens when you get rid of all the good guys Amendola was one of them. Everyone is smothering Gronk and Brady has no targets.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

It's good to have Carson back. Holy shit yesterday was a weird one. Minny goes down to the Bills, Redskins ran a train on GB and the Titans handed the Jags their first loss.

Our game with the Bills was a recipe for disaster.

A true ‘trap’ game if ever there was one.

1. Coming off emotional game with GB where kicker misses chip shot for win (let down).

2. LA Rams coming up on Thursday (short week with travel) and Philly looming after that.

3. A wounded Buffalo squad that had been embarrassed 2 weeks in a row (and let’s not forget they made the playoffs last year).

All in all, our guys, and most importantly, our coaching staff, never showed up yesterday.

Buffalo didn’t even try anything on offense in the 2nd half or it could’ve been worse.

The only bright spot, for me, is that it happened early in the season, and now we’ll see how these guys respond.

Are they really as good as everyone thinks, or has their window passed them by?

I hope they come out pissed on Thursday.

Rams are tough. They're no joke.
