So long, Gronk, you were a blast to watch, so much fun. Happy trails.

Carson will be the highest-paid QB in the league this year when he signs his extension.

We have a new Running back courtesy of the Chicago Bears, welcome to Philly Jordan Howard. Howard is in the final year of his rookie contract so we picked him up for a song and we can use and abuse him this year, release him into FA next year and get compensatory picks for him. I swear Howie Roseman is the best GM on the planet.

Howie is da man! He does a great job for us. I don't know of anyone better at what he does!

I was just reading that the Packers are paying their players (as incentive) to show up during off season workouts. Is this a common practice? I've never heard of that before. Many of my players stay in town so they have access to the facility in order to workout on their time. They want to be there.

If you're talking about bonuses for workouts, yeah it's fairly common and in most cases it's figured into their contracts. It's probably news worthy because the Packers pay the most I believe. Nearly 5 million in workout bonuses for the pack.

Man. That sounds nuts. It's their job to be in tip top physical health. I'm very taken aback by this.

I don't, I don't even pay much attention to them anymore. There are so many caveats and incentives, etc. that what looks like a great deal of money really isn't. Not that their big ass paychecks are peanuts! Not saying that at all.

Looks like we're still in the running for Duke Johnson.

I just had a conversation about kids playing football and all the costs for uniforms, fundraisers, buses and how after 8 years of that it's off to college then if they get picked for the big leagues how it can all end with one broken leg or arm. the chances of getting to that point are slim so the money they make doesn't seem that much after all that.

I just read that Tyrann Mathieu (Chief's safety) said that Russell Wilson wants to go to NY and play for the Giants. On one hand, I want to snicker & snort and on the other, I know that truth is often stranger than fiction.
