I didn't say polar bears and humans are the same. However, animals do have emotions that stem from basic survival instincts very much like humans. If you weren't such a close minded prick you could see how their behaviors can teach us how to perceive our own emotions.

I've given you examples based on insight from both personal experience and what occurs naturally in nature. All you've done is post a link to a stupid men are from mars and women are from Venus survey. You have not said one thing to back up your claim in any way.

And what do you have to back it up? These highly stressful jobs you're talking about, do they require physical strength? If so, than yes males are the physically stronger sex. Give me an example of an emotionally stressful job that women can't do just as well.

Sure Sally. After I pointed to an article that glibly used the women from venus and men from mars (A well-known mainstream , very dumbed down book on male and female gender differences in their pyscho-social makeup, that was a best seller a billion years ago) phrase to lead to an explanation on an academic study NOT on whether men were from mars and women from venus but rather the difference in personality traits between men and women .

So I am very sorry to inform you Sally, there was no "Women from Venus and Men are from Mars"study that I pointed to and no matter how you try to denounce this, this IS ACTUAL backing of my claim. ACADEMIC study by people with a Doctorate in this field, ACTUALLY backing what I said.

But maybe I should compare academic papers in that field with.....polar bears and compare "what happens in nature" with human interactions. I mean we are a part of the greater whole or something. I mean in your mind peer reviewed academic papers by people with doctorates in that field do NOT compare to what we can learn about what humans think or feel from watching the child rearing habits of bears.

Jesus, Sally. I don't know whether to laugh at the retardness of it or whether you are just fucking with me.

This is the Big Five that the below Studies often touch on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Five_p...ity_traits

"A study of gender differences in 55 nations using the Big Five Inventory found that women tended to be somewhat higher than men in neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. The difference in neuroticism was the most prominent and consistent"

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/...ijop.12265
"Hyde reviewed extant studies
of gender differences in personality across a wide variety of psychological traits and concluded moderate to
large gender differences are consistently observed in
agreeableness, sensation seeking, physical aggression,
interests in things versus people, attitudes towards casual
sex and certain sexual behaviours (e.g., masturbation and
pornography use). Smaller, but still persistent, gender
differences in personality were found for measures of
negative affectivity, conscientiousness, gregariousness,
reward sensitivity and self-esteem"

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10....00178/full
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3149680/
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2031866/
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3807730/ (I found this interesting in respect to gender - age doesn't seem to have any significant effect on the psychosocial difference)
"On the other hand, the college sample differed not only in age and gender proportion from Saucier’s middle-aged community sample but also in age from his college sample, the members of which were on average 32 years old. Nonetheless, the average internal consistency reliabilities observed in both this middle-aged sample (.72–.73, with and without unconventionality) and young sample (.66–.68) were nearly identical to the (α-based)"

I dunno there seems to be a little bit backing this up.

Perhaps we could take deep lessons from Lemmings. They have a biological urge to migrate and when there is too many lemmings they start to make for the nearest body of water. They swim to their hearts content and generally drown as the body of water is usually an ocean. "Nature" & "Survival instincts"

Perhaps you could explain how the Scorpion mother looks after her young as a basis of making a broader point about nature and survival instinct and its connection to humans. Scorpion mothers carry their eggs on their back. The young when hatched MUST cling onto their mother for grim death. If they fall off (lose balance, are knocked off in a fight the mother gets into or whatever) the mother WILL NOT recognise or protect them and will eat them if she sees them. Scorpion adults LOVE the taste of scorpion babies.

No idea if this is the path you want to go in "backing yourself" Sally. Nature is pretty cool though. Great to watch and marvel in, just not so great at using as some weak-arse premise about male and female drives, socialisation and thought processes. Cool to watch though.

Seriously? No, seriously, have you thought about this?

NeuroSurgeons
Navy Seals
Riot Police
Window Washers
Stock Brokers
Airline Pilots
FireFighters
CEOs

Now here is your chance to say "But I know a (exception to the rule) who is a (pick one off the list)" and congratulations, that makes precisely no point nor counters anything I said.

ALL of these fields are heavily dominated by men. HEAVILY. Women could CHOOSE to do these roles but they GENERALLY do not. A big part of it is that they are too stressful. Women do not like that, generally, and will not do that for the greater pay or for whatever other benefits that come with it. Why not get paid less, have a less stressful job and have a nicer and more balanced life? Nothing wrong with that. Solid reasoning.

But to say women handle stress better? I dunno Sally, perhaps you could explain the Polar Bear thing again. Just for the Hell of it.

Women didn't always have the opportunity to do those jobs, they were limited to low status jobs or traditional "female" occupations. You know that so stop being dishonest and pretending that gender discrimination, lack of access to higher education, the burden of childcare and inequality in the workforce has nothing to do with those fields being male dominated. It's just because women are more sensitive and can't handle the stress, yeah ok.

Now that they do have access to those type of jobs more and more women are doing them and just as well as men.

I told you not to post studies because for every one you can find I can find another that says different. I asked you to present facts to back up your claim that women are way more sensitive than men. This is a fact for an example, men have significantly higher suicide rates world wide than women. Sensitive much?

I have my own mower, weed whacker & blower.  *flexes*

I would give a lot to learn how to use saws. I have a fear of them. There is no room for error and that holds me back.

One of the requirements in getting my first car was that I had to know how to do basic things, I needed to be self sufficient. I had to know how to change the oil & check all the fluids and I had to know how to change a flat without depending on someone else. That was the only time I've ever done it, just to prove I could. Man. Eons ago.

Same thing with with horror movies, they always trip and fall down. Thats probablly why they weren't even allowed to join the navy seals until 2016. Big surprise why its so heavily male dominated.

There isn't a woman on this planet that is capable of graduating BUDS unless the Navy relaxes the physical and mental standards like the Army did to let those women graduate Ranger School. BUDS has the most physical training standards bar none, but that is the easy part. The mental standards are far more difficult, and are the reason most trainees drop out. The mind games the instructors use are to test every individual. expose every flaw and weakness, and push them past any comfort zone they think they have. Damn few men can survive the intense pressure. Hell one class graduated 0; no could make the grade.

There is a reason thier motto is: the only easy day was yesterday.

I had to show I could handle the responsibility of owning a car. You think there's a jiffy lube on every corner, woman. My little remote town only had a couple hundred people. You had to travel nearly an hour to get groceries.

"Women didn't always have the opportunity...."
They do now and actively choose not to have these jobs. Ask ANY of the women here. Reflect on your own occupation. This historical opportunity bs is disingenuous.

"Men commit suicide more than women. Sensitive much?"
Did you mean to write that women attempt suicide more than men? Why are they so sensitive....and so incompetent? (Probably not good at handling the stress of the moment and fuck it up?)

"More women are doing them..." fuck all women are doing them. In another 20 years fuck all women will be doing them. Women prioritise work differently. Always have, always will

For decades women did not share the same power, privileges and opportunities as men. To say it doesn't contribute to certain occupations such as CEOs being dominated by men is stupid. And Navy seals, really? Women weren't even allowed to join until recently and the average women doesn't even have the physical strength and endurance for it. So obviously they aren't lining up out the door. Stock brokers? You think it's easy to get into a business that is traditionally run by white males? You're full of shit.

Women do high stress jobs from everything from police officers to paramedics to surgeons now that they're allowed. Now go cry yourself to sleep.

I'm also quoting you here because I'm wondering why you are now asking me to reflect on my own occupation after you said this..."Now here is your chance to say "But I know a (exception to the rule) who is a (pick one off the list)" and congratulations, that makes precisely no point nor counters anything I said."

I don't have to work anymore, but just to reflect on my past occupations I used to be.....

It doesn't contribute.
Women make choices. They have agency. They are NOT their grandmothers, and frankly are retarded if they cite what their grandmother could or could not do as a reason for not being able to do those same jobs.

As for crying myself to sleep? Why exactly would that be, Sally? Because you disagree with me? In which way do you imagine i am connected to you?
