FUN & INTERESTING

Thanks Mirah and Sal.

The kitchen, living room, and bathrooms in the new house are much bigger and lighter than the old house, which is cool.

The bedrooms are much smaller though.  Fortunately, there's a lot more closet and garage space than the SF house, so it's workable.

That's so pretty, HotD. I hope you'll be very happy there.

You've worked your ass off the past few months.

This is what it looks like. It's a Savavieh, a plush shag and I like it a lot. I still can't get that white one out of my head though. *sigh*

I did not pay $1600 for it.

Well shit, I wish I would have known about Savavieh. I looked online, but didn't find anything that looked quite right so I had this one made from a carpet store. It's so thick the vacuum won't go over it.

This is my new living room floor that the Mexicans took forever with. It's darker than I had pictured just basing it on the one tile sample I picked out. It almost blends completely with the rug. I'm thinking a solid color shag rug would look better and tone all that down. it's pretty busy.

I really love that floor.  It's beautiful and looks great with your furniture.

The rug is pretty too, but I think a solid or only slightly patterned one would detract less from the floors.

Maybe switch the living room and bedroom rugs and see how that works?

I think you're right, Im going to try switching them. That shag rug was a pita to get under the bed though, it feels like it weighs 200 pounds and doesn't slide across the floor easily like the other one. The whole bed has to be moved to get it out of there. It will give my husband something to do when he gets home, he should be thrilled. Especially if I dont like it and want it switched back.

I bet your coffee mugs don't match either.

You'd lose that bet Biggie.

My coffee mugs are all basic white.

The carpet and the drapes match too.
