I drink coffee and smoke cigars, I sometimes shudder at what that is doing to my teeth. Hello dentures in 5 years or less. I really need to brush my teeth more often. Maybe then I'll be confident enough to open mouth smile.

Soak it in sodium carbonate. Soap is pretty much worthless.

That's the descaler for my water distiller. What you want is citric acid powder. 1 teaspoon citric acid + 1 teaspoon dishwashing liquid + 1 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide, per 1 cup of hot water. Make as much as you need to soak what you want to clean for 3-4 hours or overnight. Alternatively, you can use 1 part distilled white vinegar to 3 parts hot water.

Hope that helps.

Ahhhhh
There are 2 kinds of coffee maker coffee drinkers. Those that wash the carafe every day and those that like that build up and wash it weekly. (or some sort of combo of not every day)

I used to drink more than a pot of coffee a day, now I'm down to 2 cups and most days it's about 1.5, if that.

I used to only drink one cup of coffee on the weekend. Now I drink one cup of coffee a day. 16 ounce travel cup.

I'm all about variety also. I love trying a different flavors of coffee each week. That $6 Keurig machine was one  the best things I bought at at a tag sale.

Hot and strong . . . when I awaken, throughout the day, until I fall asleep . . . like me?

Or old, cold, weak and bitter . . . in bed?

I’m old, cold and weak and bitter, but I don’t like my fucking coffee that way. WTF do you take me for, Tiki?

Whoa!  Whoa!  Whoa!

I was asking Duchess to clarify.

I know your taste in coffee and your various foo-foo Starbuck's concoctions.

Damn, girl!

The foo foo concoctions are for my twelve year old daughter and I just try them. Some of them are pretty good, but nothing I’d order for myself. I need a double shot of espresso in the morning, not a mocha cookie crumble crunch Frappuccino.

Better than being a dumb-ass.

Looks like she takes after you . . . not her father.

No offense intended.
