It's called a house centipede. they are harmless, they actually eat other bugs. If you have them, look for the harmful insects they are feeding on - like lice, bed bugs

Are you sure you don't mean silverfish? I see them occasionally in the bathroom too, they must come up from the drains.

It wasn't in the house! I would die! Soooo creepy! It was outside on the water hose, I scraped it off and put it on my potting soil bag to take a picture of it. And I didn't kill it. But I did move it away from the area I was working.
