I must admit that there are many great American writers, and the best of all has been left out, Steinbeck, i have most of his. And you know of Hyacinth blue, amazing, i never took to that series.

I forgot to mention William Golding, which is odd because I greatly enjoyed Lord of the Flies. I think I may have read The Pearl. It was required reading but I generally ignored academic requirements. I was deemed incorrigible, and thank God they were right for once in their miserable lives.
