when my son was about 13 he and his buddies decided to surf in a hurricane. ::doh::

the school principal called me and said he saw my son and his friends headed for the beach with their surfboards. right past the school. ::lmao::

so i called the beach police and told them to turn the idiots back and not let them on the beach.

it's amazing 13-year-olds live to be 14. ::bang::

storm is hitting now and soon. watching on CNN. just cross your fingers that the water surge is not so high that the flooding destroys everything. It is looking real bad now and is getting ugly.

If everyone has left and no damage is done everyone will think twice about leaving next time. But I think the surge will do some damage. The water will get slammed into that inlet that leads to N.O.
