After typing that ^^^^^^^ I went and found a video of the shooting. They told her repeatedly to get out of the car. She's knows damn well would could happen if she doesn't comply, she choose not to comply. Comply FFS!

I don't think people deserve to die for swiping a bottle of liqueur. She's black, she knows better than many what the consequences could be if she doesn't comply.

She died becuase she drove towards the cop, he could have got out of the way most likely though. Never put yourself in the position to let a cop decide your death.

The cop was standing in front of her car when he was hit, and it didn't appear to me that he could have gotten out of the way. I don't think it was her intention to do bodily harm but that makes no difference re the rules that govern the use of deadly force.

This might call into question whether a police officer should stand in front of a vehicle in that sort of situation. Probably would have been better to drive a cruiser in front of the vehicle and/or smash the side window for noncompliance with a lawful order.

Won't be surprised if the officers are charged with murder.
