AXE COP!!! (unbelievably hysterical and awesome, check it out!)

so, i just wanted to share one of the greatest and funniest things i have ever fell upon online or elsewhere for that matter. i thought a good handful of you mockers and crime junkies would probably love it. AXE COP!!! www.axecop.com

so i was going to copy and paste the writer's description of this, but being non-affiliated in any way and just a huge fan, i thought i would just throw it out here in my own words:

so axe cop is a comic book, but not just any comic book. it is the fantasy written by a 5 year old boy that is put to life by his established 29 year old stepbrother/comic artist. the way i understand it, a couple of christmases ago, the older brother, ethan, was watching his little brother, malachi, run around and play with a toy axe. ethan asked malachi what he was doing, and he said, "i'm playing axe cop!". so ethan asked him to elaborate, thought it was hilarious, and decided to make a comic out of it. he posted it on the web a couple of days later (which is when i happened to fall upon it) and the rest was history. he has, in the last year and a few months, had an incredible and totally unexpected response to the comic and has since been published by dark horse comics.

anyways, you guys have to check it out. start from the beginning (ep. 1). if it isn't for you, you'll know right away and vice versa. just remember, it is written by a 5 year old. if you have a little squirt that is close to you in your life or if you are young at heart, this is for you. i thought this would be a great place to hear some opinions on it! i want to reemphasize, however, that i am in no way affiliated with the comic. just someone who stumbled upon it on a random glorious day! enjoy! and let me now what you think!

Hmm, nope. My son just loves dinosaurs, and will be extremely sad by their ultimate demise by axe cop and flute cop. But, coming from a 5 year old, it is pretty good. But I think it is a little violent for children. "Cut off their heads and steal their stuff." Wow, what a great teaching tool for lil' gangstas, lol!

yeah, that's what some of the critics have said about it (concerning the "violent" aspect). i don't know, personally with me, i can see myself as a 5 or six year old coming up with some of the same ideas, so to me it is hilarious. i grew up playing with g.i. joes, ninja turtles, voltron, and he-man. i loved guns and fighting and such, but as an adult, i am a total pacifist (some say to a flaw). i don't think he (the 5 year old) is even close to the point that he is thinking about violence in the same way that we as adults think of it, and as i was the same way, i think that's okay. it's just the good guys beating the bad guys. and at that age, before all the "grown up rationale" complicates things, i think it's normal to think that it is totally fair that all bad guys have given axe cop the right to "chop their heads off". anyways, thanks for checking it out and responding. like i said, its not for everyone.

p.s. i'm assuming that you didn't get to the part where flute cop turns in to dinosaur soldier. your son might love a dinosaur soldier. and even later, they have a pet dinosaur named wexter...

I did read to where flute cop turned into dinosaur cop. But my son is a gentle soul and refuses to eat animal crackers and animal shaped nuggets lol. I think it would make him cry. But it is a cool comic for older kids.
