How is YOUR connection?

Funny how you didn't laugh at the 'hardware' firewall when I had mentioned it in the past.

Make your mind up.

I'm not laughing at it like that. I'm laughing because of the fact that its a misnomer. Hardware firewalls are good things. Sorry for not being clear on that point Smiley_emoticons_wink

My making that point now stems more from the fact that I recently went over this with a customer, and had a discussion about it with Syber too.

Like so many things in the computing industry these days, terms have been dumbed down and misused to placate the masses.

Like the term "hacker". Which in proper usage has nothing to do with what the media uses it to refer to. No, people who break into others' systems are not hackers, they are crackers. A hacker is just a coder in proper usage. It stems from the MIT teams using a DEC PDP-1 "hacking" their code together from random bits and pieces added by each person. And thats just the worst example of the butchering of computer terminology propagated by our stupid media. Yee Fucking Haw. "Assholes in the News" should be focused on the piles of shit doing the "reporting".

The Antagonist Wrote:I am 99% sure it's all the flash on the site that is causing him to get a false reading. I just tried it and am running the test now and as the page was loading I noticed all the flash issues.

He cannot upgrade to the latest version of flash because of the old OS he's using..... the old gal can't handle any OS later than windows 2000 professional.

It just finished - Download @ 1.46 and Uploat @ 0.16 dog slow compared to mine!
If the flash on the site is slowing the process down for the old machine, try this one then.
