A good friend of mine is a steward and the kid was acting up. They allowed his parents time to calm him down but he wouldn't. They put him on a different flight. My children have flown a zillion times, several in first class, but they're seasoned travellers and know how to behave. When I pay for first class, that's what I expect. It can be stressful for someone with DS to fly, maybe it was is first time. Another friend of mine has a child with DS and they wont fly with him bc he gets all worked up about it.

Not unless there is a sale or something. FC usually costs at least $1200 a seat and thats if you book early.

Many years ago one of our tenents worked for US Air and she would get us upgrades to FC when we flew to Florida to visit the exes parents. The different in price was crazy and that was like 15 years ago. Shit I paid over $700 for my ticket to GA in June because I booked two weeks in advance. And I wasn't in FC or BC. I was in good old coach.
