I went to the one in Orlando and that cloud feather couch is amazing. My living room (which we never use) is 100% Pottery Barn. IDK if that’s good or bad but I saw a few pictures from their catalog and just furnished the room based on them. We bought an outdoor dining room table (seats 10-12) from an RH Outlet. It was fucking pricey even though it was supposedly half off. Our living room couches (from PB) are actually covered in an indoor Sunbrella material (soft but supposedly has some stain/water resistance built in). Since we never use the living room I wouldn’t know but they’re white so; nice to imagine at least. RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - sally - 03-18-2025 I love Pottery Barn. Even they're a little pricey, but they have nothing on that RH store I was in. RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - username - 03-18-2025 (03-18-2025, 10:04 PM)sally Wrote: I love Pottery Barn. Yeah I’ve walked through the regular RH store and looked at a couple things there but beyond being stupidly expensive, it seemed like everything was massive there. The store is massive, the coffee tables were massive…over sized. I think only rich giants buy their stuff there. I wanted (bought) two couches to face each other across a coffee table in our living (with a couple of side chairs and a side table between them). The couches sit 3 each very comfortably. It worked well. The thing that we splurged on was our dining room table and chairs (also rarely used). We have a huge dining room so I got a table that seats 12, 12 upholstered chairs and a side buffet. After months of looking I finally custom ordered all that from a place in Canada IIRC. It’s beautiful but if/when we move any new owners are going to have to buy that bitch from me. It is g’normous but that particular room called for something that big. ![]() RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - BigMark - 03-19-2025 WE would sit at opposites ends and do parade waves. The doors into the dining room are right off our driveway so people often use them to enter/exit the house. My son brings his crap inside and plunks it down on that table and the other day he put an open (albeit well capped) bottle of Gatorade on one of the upholstered chairs. I lit him up over that stupidity. But yeah, it’d be funny if my husband and I sat on either end. We’d need wheels on serving dishes to roll food back and forth between us. RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - BigMark - 03-19-2025 I bought this 8 piece solid mahogany set on ebay for a thousand dollars, we hosted many christmas and thanksgiving festivities then basically gave it away in the mad rush to vacant the property. ![]() RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - username - 03-19-2025 Oh man, that’s a beauty! I was in the middle of refinishing a much smaller table with inlays like that when we moved. I had striped it about 3 times (all chemical cuz I couldn’t sand it with the inlays) and it was looking good but I gave it away cuz I didn’t really have a place in mind for it and yeah, it just wasn’t worth moving. ![]() ETA: I’m assuming that’s inlay on the table. Can’t quite tell if it’s that or lighting. RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - Duchess - 03-20-2025 I just woke up and turned the TV on and the very first thing I hear is the news reader saying trump intends to tear up the White House rose garden and replace it with concrete so it looks like the patio at Mar A Lardo. Copper and Brass inlay on a solid one inch slab, took me years to find that table as they are usually smaller. When I was paying for it the cashier told me they sold the matching end tables the day before, motherfucker. ![]() RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - username - 03-20-2025 Gorgeous!! RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - BigMark - 03-20-2025 It also came with a thick glass top. If my son keeps leaving beverages and his stupid motorcycle helmet and crap on mine I might cover the damn thing in plastic (the upholstered chairs too). Something redneck but I’m going to be pissed if he leaves a ring on it or scratches it. I don’t remember which but I think it’s either solid walnut or maple stained a medium cool brown. Our last house called for redwood or cherry or oak (earth tones). Our current house with its blue front door and white and black interior kinda demanded gray and sea drift colors (if not white or black) so very little of our old furniture made it to the new house. I could have repainted (and we put in new hardwood) but I liked it. ![]() RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - username - 03-20-2025 So I’m at the grocery store today (limping around) and as I’m pushing the cart out a fucking alarm goes off (and it was loud). So I put my hands up and looked around for somebody to clear me and a clerk comes over and asks me what check out lane I used. I was like errr, “one back there?”. Like fuck if I thought to take note of the number or the name of the checker. Meanwhile a guy about my age was pushing his cart out and he’s like “just make a run for it”. I fell a little in love with him. RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - MirahM - 03-20-2025 yeah baby RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - BigMark - 03-20-2025 he made her expensive eggs drop RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - username - 03-20-2025 (03-20-2025, 11:01 PM)BigMark Wrote: he made her expensive eggs drop ![]() But yeah, that guy floated my boat in that moment. I love a sense of humor/sarcasm/comedic timing. Go figure. RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - aussiefriend - 03-21-2025 It's getting colder here, days getting shorter. You guys will be getting warmer and hotter gorgeous weather. RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - Duchess - 03-21-2025 Yesterday was the first day of Spring here. That means it's tornado season :( RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - aussiefriend - 03-21-2025 Deadly. RE: The 2025 Trivial Drivel Thread - Duchess - 03-21-2025 *nods* I don't like it at all and I'll probably be crying like a lil' bitch at some point. ![]() |
