We lost and some of our best players began dropping like flies with injuries, my QB has an injured throwing hand as well. Go Birds.

I have mixed feelings and I don't know if I can answer that in an unbiased manner. My team has a fuck ton of talent and I believe it's up to the coach/s to put the players in the best possible position to succeed. I'd like to know what happened in early December to cause this nose dive. I don't know how you go from the team to beat to being a #5 seed. Chances are we will be one and done next week.

It takes a lot of talent to be able to manage personalities. Avoiding athletes whose talent is overshadowed by toxic personality is key. If the coach and general manager are on the same page, winning is a lot more likely.

After 24 seasons Belichick is out in New England. I doubt he will be unemployed for long.
Pete Carroll is out in Seattle after 14 years, again I doubt he'll be unemployed for long and I have heard he will stay on as an advisor. Weird, but whatever.

Everything I've read makes me think that the owner/s have a great deal of respect for Coach Carroll and they are letting him form the public narrative. Of course I don't know anything for certain, it's just a guess on my part and it has been said that he'll stay and play the role of advisor.

The windchill for Saturday night's wildcard game in KC is expected to be -30. The Chiefs are playing the Dolphins. The Dolphins QB was raised in Hawaii and plays in Miami. I don't think he has a clue what he's in for.

Does anyone reading this intend to watch any of the playoffs? There are some good storylines--like the old guy Flacco coming in mid-season and saving the Brown's season by getting them into the playoffs and the rookie QB going to his first playoff game. I like the human interest stuff.
