Yeah, I'm not that poor where I need to feed my family Panburger Partner and frozen fish from someone's back yard in China.

RE: Finding an adopted (older) sibling... - Cynical Ninja - 06-07-2013

Someone won a five minute trolley dash around my local Aldis (are you yanks familiar with the concept of the trolley or cart dash? You dash around the store trying to put as many expensive items as you can into your tolley/cart which you are then allowed to keep).

Anyway five minute trolley dash they totalled up all the items at the checkout....£4.13!

RE: Finding an adopted (older) sibling... - Cynical Ninja - 06-07-2013

I just googled panburger partner.

I wish I hadn't bothered.

Is panburger partner akin to what is called Hamburger Helper here?

RE: Finding an adopted (older) sibling... - Maggot - 06-07-2013

Yes it's generic hamburger helper for really poor people.

You also have to put a quarter in the slot to get a shopping cart at Aldi's which I've never seen before. When you return the cart you get your quarter back. I couldn't figure out how to get my quarter out and I didn't want to stand there for too long looking like a tard so I just left it there.

Nah.

Four quid is worth approximately six and a half bucks.

All supermarkets in the UK require a pound coin in the slot of a supermarket trolley to unlock one, its supposed to encourage lazy asses not to leave their trollies in the car park after they've loaded their shopping.

But obviously they didn't account for brainiacs like Sal who couldn't figure out how to get their frigging coin back!

Jesus. I bet when you picked up a Rubiks cube for the first time you nearly had a fucking stroke!

Well at least it's a good thing for Clang that he wont have to collect shopping carts. His mother wont have to hear that they found his fat ass dead out in the parking lot from a heat stroke with a pocket full of melted Aldi's chocolate truffles and wearing a thong.

RE: Finding an adopted (older) sibling... - Cynical Ninja - 06-07-2013

Oh we still have blokes paid to collect shopping trolleys at most supermarket car parks, some people are so fucking lazy ass they are more than prepared to sacrifice a quid so they don't have to bother taking their trolley back.

I've only been to Aldis once. I didn't have to pay for the cart but I did pay for bags. I hate Walmart but would rather go there than Aldis.

RE: Finding an adopted (older) sibling... - sally - 06-07-2013

Oh yeah that was another thing, no bags unless you paid for them or bring your own. My husband is too much of a Jew to pay for bags so we loaded everything in the car without them. If he only knew I never got my quarter back.

Fuck all that nonsense, I go to Publix where shopping is a pleasure.

Fuck that I'm not collecting carts anymore. I applied to be a cashier royalty, not a cart peasant.
