Boarding school. We got tired of watching her hide in her room all summer and she was scared to death of the local public high school. Anxiety and low self esteem and nothing was helping came to out of state boarding school. :(

We're going to visit her next weekend.

How does she like it? Is it hard for the twins to be separated?

Thing 1 is going to start private school here shortly. The move had been tough on him. The high school here is huge and 11th grade is a tough age to move. The school has smaller classes and is concentrated on college prep.

I think it's grossly unfair for you to pay public school taxes and also have to pay for private school. California should have some voucher program in place for you.

You would certainly see a mass migration out of public schools if that was to happen. Especially with todays curriculum. That would be great!

Yeah, she does well following the herd (not too far off since there are actually cows there). She does well in a very structured environment where EVERYONE is getting up at the same time, doing chores at the same time and going to school at the same time etc.

In addition to academics, there are a variety of activities. She has her own calf to raise. Meet Pride:

Definitely better than spending all her time indoors/hiding out. I just don't want it to go on forever. I'm hoping she'll be able to attend a local school (maybe private) in the fall.
