Might be a different area

CWD, yes some do and we get deer checked regularly. It has declined over the years though. I have never seen a case of it , but from what I have ben told it resembles rabies. So it is fairly easy to pick the bad ones out.

Good
Hated to hear that was going on

I swear one day I must come over and visit you as well, just listening to that and I'm getting slightly aroused over here!!

You're not impressed by somebody who ambushes deer for the purpose of bragging over their bloody lifeless bodies?

No, I never find killing impressive.

RE: It's that time of the year . . . - Mohammed - 12-05-2015

That's the thing, I don't find anything at all impressive about it, just total and utterly delicious nourishment.

I nice glazed loin of Deer in a Portwine Jus, Chestnuts and all, yummy!

RE: It's that time of the year . . . - F.U. - 12-05-2015

Well the saying goes, A bad day of hunting is still better than a good day at work and that holds true today.
I had me a real good spot to hunker down in where the deer could walk right by and not see me, yep I did. The only problem is day 1 is fur the walls and day 2 is for the freezer. So being day 1 and all I would only shoot something that I could add to my wall and wouldn't you know it all that walked by were does. 19 in total today. So the only shooting I got in was with the camera.
Oh well maybe tomorrow I can sooth this urge to kill that I have building up inside of me. One can only hope.

My ambush point.

A little closer look so you can see how cool it is, as well as see my killing machines again,

A couple pics of a little doe that walked by at 20 yards.

When you say day 1 is for the walls, does that mean you have dead animal heads on your walls as decor?

RE: It's that time of the year . . . - F.U. - 12-06-2015

Yes I do. In my mancave.

This response is being sent from the woods.

RE: It's that time of the year . . . - Maggot - 12-06-2015

I haven't been hunting in two years because of a few issues but next year I'm going. I really miss the quiet time in the woods listening to the wind, the trees, animals bouncing around. This thread has got me remembering that and wanting to do it again.

That's why America is the greatest country in the world, even the woods got WiFi!

RE: It's that time of the year . . . - F.U. - 12-06-2015

WiFi everywhere Mo. If I could figure out how to post pics with my phone I would do that as well. Instead I will take some and post them when I get home tonight.

RE: It's that time of the year . . . - Maggot - 12-06-2015

Do the new cars today have the ability to send WIFI?

It's a beautiful morning in the woods Maggot. Crows are squawking, squirrels are gathering nuts, wind is light and Temps are just cool enough to see your breath. No deer yet, but that doesn't really matter as I am enjoying nature at it's finest right now.

Yup, some. Your vehicle has the ability to be your own lil' hotspot.

I was looking at the 2015 consumer reports mag I just got and some do have that. Some people live in their cars.

Ok, made it home safe and sound. Strange part is I left my guns sit there fully loaded for 2 days and the didn't kill anyone or anything. Hmmm, they must be defective. I better have a look at them. hahaha
Now a few more pics.

This was taken as I was talking with you all here today.

Here are a couple of a little . . . well, what was a 8 pointer. He must have ended up on the loosing side of a buck battle, judging from all the broken tines and scars on his back. Poor little guy. Anyone that thinks deer are nice little creatures have never see two bucks battling it out.

This one was taken as I exited the woods and entered the pasture, before I crossed the creek. I was just testing out the panoramic feature of this new camera.

Can anyone else see the two faces of this tree? The dog face is easy but the face above almost looks demonic.

That tree is cool as shit.

RE: It's that time of the year . . . - HairOfTheDog - 12-06-2015

It's a trippy tree.

I can't see a dog or a demon.

I see a gopher face on top. On bottom, it looks like a muddy-faced pig's head, speared through its left eye.

RE: It's that time of the year . . . - BigMark - 12-06-2015

That gives me wood.

The face on top strangely looks like FU (kind of in the way that the old lady who looks like a little man looks like Maggot). And I think the bottom face looks like a calves head speared through the eye.
