RE: That Gillette commercial - BigMark - 01-15-2019 I guess not. RE: That Gillette commercial - MirahM - 01-15-2019 But what does that even mean if it was false? Were people just pretending to be men? And pretending to be women? Or what we think our image of these things is supposed to be? I get what you are saying, but I don't like things being stuck in a category. RE: That Gillette commercial - sally - 01-15-2019 Yes Im a dingbat, I tried to edit my post on this stupid phone and look what happened. Son of a bitch. RE: That Gillette commercial - BigMark - 01-15-2019 What a duh gina! RE: That Gillette commercial - MirahM - 01-15-2019 I just love the fact that razor companies are still trying to be relevant! Long are the days when girls were girls and men were men. Those were the days. I sing that song to Peanut, she loves it. Is Peanut your squirrel? Your neighbors must love you. I can see how some guys would take offense at different things in the commercial, but if one is looking at the overall message there should be no offense taken. It is a bold move. I like it. No, it was bigoted stereotyping and virtue signaling to Feminists that males are inherent bad and need to prove themselves to women as not toxic. Hope this hurts them financially. Don't give me shit again when I hope those in and around the trump administration pay a price for their vile behavior. I don't think it will hurt them financially. What do you think about the message of not letting violence against others happen? Be it male or female? The thing that I think about after watching this is how many countless commercials and ads in television, radio and media have been insulting to women over the years. They have just been down right stupid. Women have put up with stereotyping-and so have men-especially when ads make men look like idiots when they try to vacuum or do simple household chores-it is stupid. It is just an ad, who cares? The end message would be something nice to hear from someone not looking to gain a profit. |
