Part of our trip criteria is good zoos. Hogle zoo in SLC was very good.

That's usually part of our trip criteria too. The New Orleans zoo was the best one I've been to, but that was 22 years ago. I don't know how it faired with Hurricane Katrina, but I remember hearing about it and sadly it was flooded along with everything else.

The free Chicago was the best, Los Angeles expensive was the worst.

I'm not a huge fan of zoo's.   Mostly because I don't like seeing the animals in cages.    The zoo that's most local to me has a huge ass Bengal tiger in what I consider to be a small enclosure.    Plus people's crotch goblins scream and throw shit at the animals. 


I went to a safari type zoo in Georgia about 25 years ago.  It wasn't too bad, You drove through in your vehicle,  while the animals roamed free.
