I'm not surprised. Years ago I had an Apple Ipod. It was a pain in the ass to use. I can't believe i wasted $100 to repair the screen when it cracked.

Another scam to watch out for are smart products that come with features that turn out to be "services" requiring a monthly fee.
Ownership is literally being phased out.
