I don't like Peeps. I think they taste like styrofoam, or what I imagine styrofoam tastes like.

I eat circus peanuts. I think I must be the only one, and it's been ten years or so, but I do consume them. JSYK, they use that as the marshmallows in Lucky Charms. If you have ever eaten Lucky Charms, you have eaten dehydrated circus peanuts.

I was always embarrassed when my mom bought circus peanuts because I thought they were "white trash" candy1hah I don't know why I thought that, but I felt the same way about those single serving size colored drinks that came in the plastic barrel-shaped containers...remember those? Nasty! I'm not crazy about the taste of Peeps, but Easter wouldn't be the same without the yellow chick with green Easter grass stuck all over his little butt!

What the fuck are peeps?

RE: peeps - thekid65 - 04-10-2011

There's a picture of them 2 posts above yours, OP. Basically they're a candy coated, marshmallow fashioned in the shape of a chick (not the girl type).

RE: peeps - Carsman - 04-10-2011

Got me some peeps, and surprisingly they were are sale now, even though it's close to Easter. And of course, yes, the "Yellow" ones! Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

Smiley_emoticons_skeptisch That's a chick? Looks like a bunny to me.

RE: peeps - thekid65 - 04-10-2011

Yeah, I'm old school...they used to be only chicks (hence the name "peeps"..who knows wtf little bunnies make for sound, I've only heard them squeal as they were dying in my cats jaws). Technology has improved 10 fold since I was a youngin, they now make bunny molds.

Candy corn and peeps trick you. They look fun, colorful and perfect....
then you eat them and understand how Satan works.

RE: peeps - sally - 04-10-2011

I'd sooner eat a can of brains in milk gravy before I'd eat a peep, candied corn, or a circus peanut.

RE: peeps - Cynical Ninja - 04-10-2011

Circuses have their own special peanuts?

From the all knowing Wiki"
Circus PeanutsCircus Peanuts is a peanut-shaped marshmallow candy. Although the most popular variety of mass-produced Circus Peanuts today is orange-colored with an artificial banana flavor, confectioners originally distributed an orange-flavored variety that was only available seasonally due to a lack of packaging capable of preserving the candy; in the spring, five-and-dimes sold Circus Peanuts as penny candy. In the 1940s Circus Peanuts became one of the many foods to become available year-round owing to the industrial proliferation of polyethylene packaging.

Just get yourself a big spoonful of sugar, pour some corn syrup and orange dye on it, chew it and pretend it's the shape of a peanut.
