Another "sorta" silver lining: Kelly appears to be tanking so catastrophically and so astoundingly that his era is likely to be over sooner rather than later. You may only have to deal with one year of this. Other terrible coaching situations sometimes win just enough games that they don't get fired, so the mediocrity can continue for YEARS. Gotta look at it that way. If he's gonna fail, let him fail so big and so gloriously that he's gone by January. Or his ability to make personnel decisions is yanked.

RE: NFL 2015 - Duchess - 09-26-2015

I'm not to the point where I want him fired, I still have faith in him and in his system, I don't think anything is "broken". My team needs to do their jobs, they need to be in sync with each other and they haven't been. When Sam stepped onto the field in our first game of the season that was the first time he had done so in about 2 years. Stupid mistakes have been made by guys who have been in this league long enough to know better. All I ask is that they do their job. I like Coach Kelly and I'm firmly in his corner, I don't view him as a failure.

Dude can be a great coach and a great guy and still not be suited for the NFL. It's a different animal. Look what happened to Harbaugh. Everybody thought he was a genius when he first went to Frisco, but it fell apart quickly.

Boy, did I nail my prediction of the Falcons as a good team this year.

They hung 39 on the Cowboys a week after the Dallas D made Philly look silly.

Matt Ryan, Julio Jones & Co may be a force once again.

Rise up!

The 49er's are a hot mess. They should have pulled Colin out and gee, I'm so glad they fired Harbaugh. 78

Seeing Darren Sproles standing next to Jason Peters makes me laugh out loud. I love seeing that lil' rocket move, it brings me to my feet and I'm hollering at the television. RUN RUN!

They are starting to put it together. Secondary looked great yesterday.

MS' Power Rankings after Week 3:

1. New England
2. Green Bay
3-32. Everybody Else

The pack looked pretty good last night. The Chiefs failed to execute. It seems to be a growing trend in today's NFL. I'm thinking the numerous injuries and overall breakdown of the ability to execute consistently has everything to do with the reduced time teams have to prepare for the season. Very few teams appear to be prepared for the season mentally and physically. The ones that are have veteran players in their key positions. It should be interesting to revisit this theory in about six weeks.

RE: NFL 2015 - Midwest Spy - 09-29-2015

You make some good points BG.

There's not a single team that utilizes the pre-season to get players in game shape and build endurance. Starters play a half in Game 3 of the pre-season, and that's basically it until the 1st week of the regular season.

Probably no coincidence that Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Carson Palmer and Matt Ryan are a combined 15-0. Veterans that have been with their teams for multiple years and don't need a ton of coaching.

I noticed the same thing going on last year but the newer guys came on strong down the stretch. I'm still not sold on the Falcons being all that (two admitted bad calls by the refs that changed the outcome of the game against Philly, the Cowballs with a backup QB and no Dez and the Giants... Eli hah nuff said), but time will tell.

RE: NFL 2015 - Blindgreed1 - 10-02-2015

I have to imagine that Pittsburgh is looking for a FG kicker today.

I should be bouncing off the walls in eager anticipation for my upcoming division game and I'm feeling meh. I think those bitches killed something in me after breaking my heart 2 weeks in a row. I'm usually jazzed at this point in the week and I'm not. Bummer. Smiley_emoticons_slash

Kendricks is supposed to be back for this game and our D is pretty tough against the run.

Fly Eagles Fly! Whooo-hoo! Get fired up Duchess!

RE: NFL 2015 - Donovan - 10-02-2015

At least the Eagles are making it interesting. I said before the season the Kelly gambit and Buffalo's Ryan Era would be two of the most interesting team arcs to watch. Neither has disappointed yet.

RE: NFL 2015 - Duchess - 10-05-2015

My team sucks ass and so does everyone else in the NFCE. I am so thankful for that on this Monday morning.

RE: NFL 2015 - Maggot - 10-05-2015

I was watching the Denver game last night and the voices were 3-4 seconds ahead of the action. It was getting very annoying yet it was fixed during the commercials. The_Villagers

RE: NFL 2015 - Jimbone - 10-05-2015

The Eagles are utterly terrible.
