No offence to retards intended ![]() Electric Chair - ChicagoBorn - 05-23-2014 BRAVO! To Tennessee for bringing back the use of the electric chair to carry out death row sentences. It will be interesting to see which other states will follow suit and if their legislation will be for firing squads, gas chambers, or follow Tenn. These sick fuckers don't end up on death row for delivering tulips to the wrong address; and now they want to cry about violating their rights under the Eighth Amendment? They have got to be kidding! Rather than listening to their cry-baby ass, why don’t we remind them of the definition of “cruel and unusual punishment” via Wilkerson v. Utah, 99 U.S. 130, (1879). I’m actually of the opinion that if drawing and quartering, emboweling alive, beheading, public dissecting, and burning alive were still considered just punishments the taxpayer’s would be paying much less in “coddling” the sick bastards. Meh . . . I'm not a fan of Sharia Law style punishment. I'm in the Jeffersonian camp: A Bill for Proportioning Crimes and Punishments BTW - Is Tennessee considering solar or wind to provide the electricity? Fossil fuel is cruel! RE: Introduction - QueenBee - 05-23-2014 But Duchess... some of us have to take up where LC left off. Made her nuts when someone did not have an avatar. ![]() RE: Introduction - ChicagoBorn - 05-23-2014 (05-23-2014, 11:30 AM)Duchess Wrote:(05-23-2014, 10:33 AM)aussiefriend Wrote: Where's your fucking avatar dumbass. Still don't really understand why US prison administrators and physicians can't work collaboratively to come up with one death-drug cocktail that is tested and then administered consistently in all executions across death penalty states. The controversy surrounding the various drug combinations and secrecy regarding the suppliers is costing a lot of time and money in appeals and stays. FWIW, I support the death penalty in murder cases where there is a verified confession and/or solid DNA or surveillance evidence proving guilt. Life without the possibility of parole is a better (and proven to be cheaper) alternative when there is any question of guilt -- people have been wrongly executed in the past and, to me, it's not the worth the risk of killing an innocent person. IMO, the death penalty will be revoked in a few states amidst this current controversy (although that's nothing new historically). But not tested on Real Green Dress . . . that's cruel! I'm not against firing squad, hanging or gas. Or using a Vet instead of a MD. RE: Introduction - Duchess - 05-23-2014 It's sucky that we have to be so civilized where monsters are concerned. RE: Introduction - HairOfTheDog - 05-23-2014 A military Vet who's had experience putting down enemies in the past, or a Veterinarian who's skilled at putting down animals? P.s. I'm glad it's Friday, Tiki -- you've got me thinking about cocktails and Bare Naked Ladies when discussing the death penalty! Hahaha! The latter. However, if popping a thug would help a military Vet, no objection from me. Hell . . . I'd wear a bloodied ribbon to show my support! One that I purchased, of course, from the gift shop at Ground Zero. After taking in a tour and a meal. ![]() |
