I am so sorry to hear about this Cannongal. Such tragedy.
I have a friend who lost a cousin in the same manner. It was said he committed suicide but later was found that he was strangling himself (with a belt) while pleasuring himself and died as a result. Of course that didn't make his death any easier, but made the family feel better to know he hadn't committed suicide.
I hope your son is coping as best he can.

One of the boys in my son's Boy Scout troop took his own life the other day. He was an honor student, Pitcher for his baseball team, he also excelled in hockey, and at 14, he was about to become the youngest boy ever in our Troop to receive the Eagle Scout award.
Unfortunately, he was also very small for his age, and was relentlessly picked on in School.
FUCKING BULLIES! FUCKING SCHOOL! I'm mad as hell right now, and I feel so sorry for his parents, and I want to punch something, and I know that I'm ranting and Raving and I don't fucking care.
My 12 year old doesn't understand why his friend killed himself, AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT TO HIM.

Tragic. I am sorry to hear about your son's friend. They need to teach kids how to deal with bullies.
But also, some who are bullied as children get stronger from the experience and learn how to be tough. Its hard to say what makes some break down, and others get stronger.

Columbus County authorities are investigating the death of a 10-year-old girl who hanged herself Monday night after repeatedly being bullied at school.
Samantha West said she found her daughter, Jasmine McClain, dead in her bedroom Monday night.
"I just lost it because she took her last breath in my arms," West said Wednesday. "She was a loving child. I just don't understand."
Chadbourn Police Chief Steven Shaw said her death was obviously suicide, and he was about to close the case when he started checking posts on Facebook and other social media about Jasmine and her death.
"Children started coming forward and making accusations that she was bullied – and bullied bad – in school," Shaw said.

Sometimes it's fun to look up the biggest assholes from school on facebook just to see what kind of pigs they turned out to be. I wasn't the most popular in school, but I wasn't bullied either, I do remember all the assholes though and I've yet to see one who didn't turn into a fugly bastard.
